The Lounge of Lichfield is an independent, family run coffee house and bistro located in the heart of Lichfield.

Story

With warm friendly staff, customers can relieve their daily stresses, socialise and ‘just be’ in our comfortable and relaxing environment. Enjoy freshly brewed coffee/tea, breakfast, brunch, and lunch seven days a week. New evening menu now available on Thurs, Fri and Sat evenings. Full alcohol & entertainment licence.

This was the 2nd time we've been here First time was so-so. This time was very disappointing Salmon and cream cheese - not available. Then as 2nd choice we ordered chicken and avocado. It took them several minutes to tell us that avocado wasn't available either. Elderflower juice - not available. It's unfortunate, I understand. But I feel this wasn't handled very well by the staff. The sympathy for the unavailability was not there, and was treated, if not rudely, then certainly with indifference. It turned out at the end that although not on the menu, (and as third choice) chicken and tomato sandwich turned out to be the same price as chicken and avocado. (Really?!?) Very unhappy with the overall experience And no reduction offered for the unavailability. The woman in charge of the kitchen seemed to know all, but obviously hadn't communicated anything to the other staff, and when asked, was extremely dismissive of customers requests.

A great little independent cafe/coffee shop. Food is good and priced fairly. They now open in the evenings too. Staff are freindly and waiting times are acceptable. My only two gripes are the temperture can be a little on the chilly side when sitting and some of the seats need replacing. You can dissappear into the seat padding which can be a surprise.
