I do enjoy a meal at The Nelson. Nautical themed so you think you are on a boat. Food is quality using local suppliers and cooked to perfection by the guys in the kitchen. Friendly staff and there own micro brewery producing tasty beers.
Very good all round menu to suit all pockets. I had a mixed grill with four types of meat all cooked to perfection. The table service was excellent and the staff were great.
Great atmosphere!! Fantastic food & staff!! Their own sperrin brewed ale & lager were lovely too. Highly recommended.
Great food with a short wait. I've been with my girlfriend and her family a couple times and haven't been disappointed. The portions are a decent size and the food is fantastic. I'm sure I'll be going back again in the future.
Very impressed with the quality of the food and the portion size for the price. Puts other chain restaurants in the shade. The nautical theme was quirky and unique, adding to the enjoyable experience. Service was also good. Will be visiting here again v.soon.
Nice pub with a good choice of real ales and ciders. Food looked good but didn't try any. Wish it was my local.
Went to the beer festival & had a couple of great hours. Interesting beers & some lovely food.
Great to be back in this very friendly pub for great beer & food. They have their own brewery too.
Just had a fantastic 3 course Sunday lunch here it was really nice staff were brilliant & tended your every need I would definitely recommend to come here & I will be returning soon well done to all the staff at the Lord Nelson keep up the good work
