Sudeley Castle boasts several charming cottages scattered throughout its picturesque grounds, offering visitors a unique opportunity to experience the castle's enchanting atmosphere up close. Imagine waking up to the serene surroundings of the Cotswolds countryside, with the majestic castle just a stone's throw away. Staying in one of Sudeley Castle's cottages is like stepping back in time while enjoying the comforts of the present.
Perfect distance from the castle. Stayed over Easter long weekend. Exactly the kind of accommodation we were after. Excellent level of comfort for all four of us. Peaceful and quiet with parking onsite. Only 2 minutes from dining and pubs.
We stayed at St Kenelm back in 2017 2 adults, 2 children, this was one of our favorite places to stay whilst touring around the UK. Great value, and in a beautiful spot, walking distance to the village. The time we went was in the middle of Winter so the Castle gardens where closed, but this didn't spoil our enjoyment of the whole place
Absolutely loved it! I stayed for two nights in the Queen Mary cottage. It is a quaint little group of cottages around a central courtyard that is quintessential England. There is plenty of parking, and it was super easy to check in/out. They have lockboxes so I didn't have to worry about getting there by a certain time. Plus it includes access to the castle, you just present your key. I would highly recommend it, even for individuals/small groups I was traveling on my own, but especially for larger groups. The cottage next to me had several couples. Definitely check it out!
For the money, I thought the cottage could have been a lot nicer. Furnishings old and not very clean. We also paid the same for our as our friends who had an extra bed. Bedrooms and bathrooms tiny... not for tall people. I am short but still managed to bang my head every day. Customer service also a disappointment. Otherwise Winchcombe is lovely and cottages are in a great location to town and the castle.
