Had a great meal here last night. The food was delicious and the service was some of the best we’ve ever had! We will definitely be returning soon.
Took a while to find, good selection of ales, quick service at lunchtime including food. Indoor and outdoor seating. Worth a detour to visit.
We went especially to sample the new menu from the new chef as we have heard great things, and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and so well prepared, we ended up having 3 courses as we just wanted to try it all, it was definitely the best meal out we have enjoyed in some time. The service was great, nothing was too much trouble, we were also allowed to bring our dogs in who were welcomed by the friendly staff. It was a thoroughly enjoyable evening, we will definitely be going back soon to sample the dishes we didn’t get to try.
Recently visited for a dinner with friends, the pub was lovely and cosy with a beautiful fire and the food was delicious! We had starters mains and dessert and each course was amazing! The belly pork in particular was delicious.
First visit back after quite a while and so glad we did! Warm, welcoming, first class service from a young and talented team! Food was delicious! Would definitely recommend and we will be back
The staff were incredibly friendly, and there's the most gorgeous open fire, proper traditional country pub vibe, I loved it. Didn't eat but the menu was great and the food looked amazing, we'll definitely be going back for dinner!!
Food is alright, if they have anything left… booked a table a few days in advance for Sunday lunch; when we tried to order we were informed that they’d run out of 50% of the things on the menu in some cases we learned this after having ordered things which took ages to show up and were missing key ingredients. Slow and generally lacklustre service that made you feel like showing up to pay £20 for a roast was a massive ask… would recommend taking your business to a better pub, for instance, the white horse just down the road in edwardstone
Posh burger with lovely fries and slaw including a pint or glass of vino collapso for £15? What's not to like? Hard to find but charming rural location was absolutely heaving with folk on a cold October night - most impressed! Service was fast & friendly and the pub had a cheerful ambience. Recommended!!
Great atmosphere, staff, beer and food quality but badly let down by the portion size. 5 of us had the Sunday roast all of which were very small as were the sweets. The roast was £20 per head so very poor value for money. I understand nobody wants food wastage but if the meal is that small it should be half the price.
Visited with friends for the monthly pub quiz. A great atmosphere & pleasant Staff. I would certainly go back, if only to win the quiz... .
