Food is very nice, big portion and taste great. Stsff very friendly.
One of the best meals I've had in a long time. Had the Mega Chicken meal sharer. Everything perfect with a dressed salad. Looked at other meals being brought out and they looked equally delicious.
Much improved from last i went which was a number of years ago.. food was lovely.. and service was excellent.. Ellie very helpfull.. we asked for a quiet area as have a grandchild with special needs and were put in room at the back which was great for us.. will go again!..
The Lighthouse is a fantastic pub, friendly and the food is excellent quality. Staff are great and very polite ..even when it's busy! Will definitely come here again..
Nice atmosphere and fairly busy. It was a Sunday so 3 of our party had Sunday dinner I had fish, chips and mushy peas. I won the day! Fish was lovely, sunday dinners not so lovely evidently, that was the verdict of the 3, I was fine. My wife said she would not expect to pay that price for such an inferior offering. That said, the staff were wonderfully helpful and cheery, place was clean and well cared for, plenty of big screens for sport if that's what you're looking for and dogs are allowed! Winner winner fish dinner.
We attented one of the Meet & Greet Afternoons yesterday…George Michael tribute, what a great Tuesday afternoon treat - fab food & entertainment, really great value at £11 too. This is the third one we’ve been to, looking forward to attending others, always a great day out, thanks to Tina & the team for looking after us
I would like to take the opportunity to thank all the staff at the lighthouse in particular the smaller lad with the beard for the attentive service and knowledge off the menu as my father is very fussy eater and all requests were dealt with in a very professional manner great food great pub will definitely be a frequent customer
Very rare i leave a bad review but my experience was terrible, waited 15m for cups of tea? 1 hour for food but other had come in and been served and received the meals they had ordered. Food eventually come i paid for toast with my breakfast i had to chase this up. No apology what so ever, returned my un touched full plate of food and got a refund, still no apology. We will never return to this pub
Nice friendly place, staff was all over the place, looking like they had no idea of what they was doing, food was not so good, I could not eat it, just the look of it put me off, so big thums down I was told the food is not good, but we still want, try for yourself, I would go back but not for food,
Called to book a table and was told there weren't any so I booked online where it was available and they then cancelled my booking. I was told on the phone the football was on. Quite frankly if I've been able to book it should be honoured. I'll just avoid in the future. Edit: thanks for the response. The Nelson hotel round the corner, also a Greene King did the same thing but honoured the booking. Its just customer service that was lacking on your side not the fact you weren't taking bookings.
