Lovely proper pub. Good food, fish and chips was excellent, sausage and mash looked great. Well kept beer. What more could you ask?

Cozy atmospheric pub. Extensive menu providing the perfect mix of traditional and cosmopolitan options. Attentive and prompt service. Great Sunday roast, especially enjoyed the potatoes and homemade Yorkshire puddings. We’ll certainly be returning soon!

Traditional pub with good Sunday roast. Upstairs event space is a bit dated looking but offers extra seating for food.

Can't easily beat this Lewes institution. The archetypical quirky local. Loads of stuff going on. Committed servers of Harvey's (therein lies a tale!) and good plentiful plates of reasonably priced food. They have a small beer garden upstairs at the back and rooms you can book for free for community activities/meetings. Limited parking and tricky access for wheelchair users.
