I'm having physio treatment with Sarah for a long term chronic illness. On my first session, she was able to tell me exactly why I have this illness, looked me dead in the eye and told me she could treat me. And she was right! Through a series of activation massage, I'm getting my movement back and in very small steps, my quality of life is improving and I am starting to become more independent. She is absolutely magical! I had a taster acupuncture session with Mar this morning on Sarah's recommendation and it feels like she's lifted the stress from my back where I keep my tension it is absolute wizardry! I highly and enthusiastically recommend Leeds Physio Clinic, and thank them for their individual, person centred approach to treatment - they are all absolutely amazing. And big shout out to the lovely reception team, who never get sick of me calling up to check my appointment time!
Would highly recommend. I’ve seen John for physio help with various gym-related injuries and he’s always been extremely knowledgable and helpful, and I’ve been recovered within a few weeks. As a student, the clinic is affordable and very accessible. Would recommend to everyone.
Came in with a bad back and Sarah has worked wonders with it over the past couple of months. She has gone through different exercises with me to help the healing process of my back. All the staff working there are helpful and very friendly too. Cannot recommend Leeds Physio enough!
Was referred due to an injury to my lower back and was immediately put at ease by the team here. I saw results almost instantly and have been offered great advice and couldn’t recommend them enough for anyone else! Very friendly and welcoming and should be anyone’s first choice when requiring any physio!
I've been having treatment with John after finding him on the BAPAM performing arts medicine directory. He has been treating me for tenosynovitis that I developed in my wrist from playing guitar professionally. I've been seeing John at the Leeds Physiotherapy clinic for about 6 months and he's been increadibly helpful and approachable in helping me manage my pain and giving me exercises to help with my playing injury. He has always been understanding that due to my profession, I cannot completely stop and rest, and has helped me find ways to play guitar more comfortably in a way that does not aggravate my wrist. He has also helped me find general lifestyle changes that have reduced my pain, and supported me in finding funding I could apply for to help with the cost of treatment. The clinic is easy to find, and all the staff are very nice and helpful. I was quite apprehensive having never done physio therapy before, but the space is very welcoming and I feel like I can ask any questions I need too. I would defiantly recommend the clinic to any musicians and other people who are interested in physiotherapy.
5 stars does not do John Rutherford justice. Following bowel surgery relating to advanced cancer I was left with severe pelvic and suprapubic pain. Over almost four weeks, I slept no more than three nights in total. I was passed back and forth from colorectal, to urology, to my GP; collectively, they tried four separate strong opioids, two courses of antibiotics and a nerve suppressant to no avail. The pain persisted and was constant, varying from 7-9/10 without relief. My symptoms were consistent with chronic non-bacterial prostatitis and chronic pelvic pain syndrome. My urologist didn't formally diagnose these, but he identified them as possibilities. I ended up listening to a podcast about prostatic health, and it suggested pelvic floor physiotherapy as a means of addressing these. I called Leeds Physiotherapy Clinic Ltd and got John on the phone; he sounded like he knew what he was talking about, so I booked an appointment. At the appointment, he listened to my experiences intently for a good half and hour before suggesting some exercises. Within ten minutes of doing these I felt immediate, quite startling relief. I subsequently left the session feeling elated at the pain relief, and it has not returned since! I persist with the exercises every day, and there has not been a flicker of pain. This after almost four weeks of constant pain. On reflection, it is quite incredible. I now intend to persist with physiotherapy as part of my cancer recovery, and I am hopeful of improving my strength and mobility in ways I may have previously thought impossible. I would compel anyone experiencing pelvic/prostatic pain to visit John, or another credible physio, as a means of addressing it.
Sarah Fields has been a great help in my recovery process. Would recommend for anyone experiencing back/nerve pain.
Can not recommend Sarah Field enough! Had a back injury that various other physio's were unable to help sort, but 6 weeks with Sarah and it's as good as new.
Fantastic service, very knowledgeable and caring staff. My boyfriend is a skateboarder and has suffered various ankle/foot injuries. John is brilliant, he takes the time to understand the issue and gives tailored support.
I was diagnosed with Bell's palsy one side of my face has been paralysed. I decided to go for the courses of facial accupunture 2 times a week at the clinic. I felt improved since the first and second attempt of the accupunture. I was 95% recovered at around week 3. After week 4 I was 99-100% recovered. Mar always gives useful suggestions to deal with my symptom. Massive thanks to Mar.
