Such a nice warm welcome .Felt friendly as soon as we walked in. Food excellent and a lot of it. Found the pub via Brit Stops highly recommend

Stopped off on our way home from Llangollen. Beer was excellent as was my steak and my husband's gammon and eggs. Worthy of 4 or even 5 stars for that. Stars deducted because the outdoor area and tables were a disgrace. Cigarette butts and ash everywhere I looked. A few minutes sweeping and cleaning the tables would make a difference. It was not something that just happened. It had been there for days even weeks. Girl who brought our cutlery and napkins should have noticed and done it. I should have complained but manager should be checking every day as part of routine. Unlikely to visit again.

I came for a wedding and was happily surprised... the room was beautifully set up,  the manager's are a hoot (so easy to get along with) and the food was scrumptious! I wI'll be coming here again.
