Stunning venue for a party. Welcoming staff, helpful and attentive. Really chilled atmosphere during the day too. Great lunches and fab coffee!

I regularly visited the carriages for my lunch and was happy enough with the standard of food as I usually just had chips and a drink, we have also had a few events there and I would have considered myself a regular. However, I visited once on a weekend to get some lunch and the standard of food and service was very poor. I payed through the teeth for a burger with avocado, bacon, coleslaw, relish and chips, for which I had to wait 35 mins!! There was no-one even in there so I don't know why it took so long. When I finally got my burger it was burnt with no bacon coleslaw avocado or relish. I then took this back and complained to the waitress, who informed me that they didn't have any of the accompaniments apart from coleslaw which they dumped on top for me. I said I was not happy as this should have been communicated before I payed and a alternative offered. They made it clear they didn't care and when I went back on Monday to complain to the manager he also made it clear he didn't care. Poor service, poor food and poor customer service I wont ever be going back.

This place is so quirky and well done and the owner is such a nice guy if I could give 10 stars I would Excellent!!

Great atmosphere, incredibly well presented with a relaxed and homely feel. Would definitely come back without hesitation.
