We stayed here for a couple of nights at the end of the Easter weekend. Accommodation is fine, though decor is getting a bit dated, though some of that might be down to the age of the building. Booked dinner in the restaurant for the first night as we had received an alert from the management that it might be busy. A nice touch. Had intended to eat elsewhere the following night but decided otherwise, largely due to the weather, heavy, wet snow 😣, but that was fine as food both nights was at a very high standard. Also meant we were able to try dishes that weren't available on the first. As mentioned dinners were very good but, as mentioned in other reviews, the breakfasts were extremely good too. Staff were very welcoming throughout. Although not likely to stay in this area again we would certainly come back here if we did. Would highly recommend to others.

For a restaurant in a rather small town the selection of meals and drinks is quite astonishing. The burger is not too big and the (locally brewed) beer was not bad either. Would recommend the place.

The staff, the food, the decor, I would gladly and without remorse kill any of you reading this to eat here again. Only negatives are after you eat here food will not taste the same again. You will experience the best of the best and if like me the remainder of your diet consists of cold beans and dangerous volumes of eggs on toast then you will experience an existential crises and post acid trip type come down during your next meal.

We popped in on a Monday morning and had a wonderful time! Excellent service and a brilliant selection of cakes - plus, possibly the best cheese scone ever!

The last time I visited Kinross was about twenty years ago I read several reviews one several hotels in Kinross and I'm glad I chose the Kirklands Hotel the look of the food did it for me I was met at reception by a cheery young lady who smiled all the time she seemed to really enjoy her job I stayed in room 3 firm and comfortable bed all the usual fixtures and fittings beautiful bathroom powerful shower I dined early and already tables where filling up no wonder with the selection of dishes on offer ( not a sight of lasagne chilli curry of the day and pie of the day) at last found somewhere with imagination my starter was smoked haddock leek and potato crumble with a Parmesan cheese sauce mmm I opted for one of the daily specials stuffed breast of guinea fowl on a bed of creamy mash beans and cabbage with pepper sauce all for under £20.00 Kinross is good for fishing walking and my passion photography a good selection of breakfast cereals fruit porridge fruit juices and best of all individually cooked Scottish breakfast 2 pork links 2 rashes of smoked bacon tomato beans mushrooms black pudding haggis something of a rarity these days and piping hot on hot plates too if you happen to be in this area call by for a meal or even a stop over you won't be disappointed Anthony and his wife have a superb place here I will be back in the future
