I had my dads 50th birthday party at the back of the pub for friends and family on Saturday night. I’ve never hosted or thrown a surprise party before. And The owners, workers and managers were all incredible. From booking the party all the way to the night.. they were consistent, helpful and lovely to get to know. They cleaned up for us, bunting etc included and left me bits to collect if I wanted the next day. Such friendly people! I’d recommend a private party here 100%! Thank you for a Lovely evening, one to remember :
We had read about the pub and like real ales. We were disappointed as although advertises brewery, in the name, there were no Avon beers. We had food, hubby had a burger which he enjoyed. I had the Hunters chicken, although cooked the chicken was not hot, although saying that it was tasty. There was a guy playing fetch with his dog in the walk way, suppose 1 way to walk dog
Had a work Christmas Dinner at Avon, was a great experience and the food was lovely! Had our own room at the back even while the Football was on! Was very well organised and felt incredibly valued as a customer.
Attended a wake here. Bar staff very kind, sells Fosters which is a bonus! Lots happens here like karaoke, Sunday roasts etc. Has a room out the back for private functions that leads on to a beer garden. Cosy little place and £3.60 roughly for a pint of Fosters.
Lovely cosy little pub , very welcoming, delicious food and a great choice would recommend this place for a nice drink or a bite to eat
Food was nice. Service slow but short staffed & busy, did apologise. . Quite noisy at the time we were there
Quaint looking pub from the frontage, but don’t let that fool you. Pub extends right back to the river with various snug & function/games rooms. Not to mention the riverside garden. Huge range of drinks at an affordable price hard to find in a pub these days.

Absolutely lovely pub! Really cosy inside and beautiful setting out the back by the river. We came here for Sunday lunch with the family and the owner set up a room for us with a highchair included. The food was fantastic with a choice between chicken, beef or pork for Sunday lunch. The owner went out of his way to make us feel comfortable and ensure we had a lovely time. All the staff there were fantastic. 10/10 will be coming again!
