We went to the college farm with some friends for a meal and ordered our meals and 10 minutes later they came back and told us there was a problem in the kitchen and they had nothing hardly on the menu because they had problems in the kitchen with there equipment. So we went over to the eagle watchfield to try and were closed. We didn't want to travel to far so i suggested we try king and queen at Longcot the village that i came from that i had not visited for 30 years or more. We all had a really enjoyable meal and the service was excellent.

We walked across the fields from our home to go to this highly recommended pub. We were not disappointed. Lovley staff, landlady was very nice and chatty. Good local ales. Big fire. Newspapers and comfy seats. Board games, and old school games. Food was really good too! Definitely a recommend.

What a lovely stay! Very friendly staff and made us feel very welcome. Nice and authentic atmosphere with people coming in for drinks, eating and just hanging around. Nice room, but can be loud from the pub downstairs until it closes. Good dinner and breakfast.

Lovely pub with great character. Friendly staff, good home-cooked food and a decent selection of beers. Will definitely be back!
