Great service, the staff are fantastic and seem to care so much. The building is beautiful, old English beams. As an Irish man I love to experience the English way of life in an original English building. Rooms look amazing. Food crazy good . Service mind blowing!

Nine of us went here as part of a work team lunch. The menu online looked really nice and I had been looking forward to the outing. When we got there we were warned that there were a lot of menu items they didn't have. They were not joking! None of the things I wanted were available so I had to make do with alternatives. Most of us went for the two course lunch menu, some opting for starter and main, others for main and dessert. We had to wait ages even before the starters arrived. I was glad I had ordered one because I was really quite hungry by the time it arrived. We then had to wait a further hour before the main courses arrived. Bearing in mind we were only on our lunch break that was not acceptable at all. In the end the people who wanted dessert had to abandon that idea because it was already way too late. We were in there for over two hours, most of the time waiting to be served. We were offered no explanation as to the cause of the delay and no apology. The actual quality of the food was fine but nothing outstanding and certainly not worth the wait. I thought the meals themselves were reasonably priced at £11.50 for two courses but the drinks were expensive: £2.60 for a bottle of J2O, £4.75 for a pint of Landlord. Overall a very disappointing experience.

Generally a great place to eat and drink and the decor and toilets are all very clean, Good for the staples of a cold winter evening or a summer meal as there is plenty of seating area outside. The service is more often than not excellent - been the occasional slower service - however you can forgiven them that. Good selection of food for all palettes and excellent portion size. All in all a fair price for a good meal.

Waited one hour and ten minutes to be served a main course, desert arrived different from the menu. Billing was messed up when credit cards charged incorrectly. Not a good experience, won't be returning.
