We were surprised to find a lively bar on a Monday night. There even was live music. Lots of young people and the service was very fast, we never had to wait to be served drinks at the bar. We had a lovely evening. Would recommend if in the neighbourhood.
Cozy and warm pub with a great atmosphere. They have a nice big fireplace that adds such a delightful ambiance. Nice gin selection and the bartender was helpful and friendly in helping me pick a drink I would like. I also really recommend the quiz night, Tuesday’s at 8. It’s great fun and I met some new friends by participating.
Great pint of Guinness as always, could’ve had more staff on though. A delivery arrived and the barman was on his own. About 20 people in and he had to keep running back and forth. Felt bad for him as service was great but trying to balance both things was clearly a struggle. Will certainly return anyway
Meh. Service is poor to middling. Average pint rushed guinness with an overflowing head. Quite cold, particularly at the back. Atmosphere is odd, decor is sort of grannys house chic, but designed by someone who has never been in their granny's house. Dog friendly, which is fine...if you like dogs.
Would not even give this establishment 1 star if there was an option for 0 - rude staff, an incompetent manager and overpriced drinks. Our private room was double booked, the manager allowed another party to be in our pre-decorated room. Nothing was done about the situation, we had to move our own decorations downstairs to the main pub, no hospitality was provided to apologise for their mistake and staff were hugely dismissive about their error, especially the manager. The security man was mocking to members of our party about the situation and made personal comments about someone’s appearance. A truly terrible experience for an event that should have been wonderful.
Great Pub! Lovely atmosphere, great selection of drinks, a warm fire and dogs roam freely. What more could you want?
Over priced rip off, and no good beers are on draft either. Avoid if you can, though South Belfast is a bit of a desert for nice drinking houses hence why places like this pop up and survive
Warm, friendly atmosphere, decent range of drinks available. Not too loud to have a conversation!
Jeggy nettle is good wee pub for Guinness and cocktails. The ambience is quite good . This pub is dog friendly .
A cosy and fantastic pub with a great atmosphere and very friendly staff and the pints were so good very nice pint of Guinness and Hop House 13. Will definitely be back again and again and especially for the pub quiz nights.
