Couple of things have to say . First thing first : the atmosphere is good the service is good too. Food : the chowder may look good but it tastes absolutely horrible, no taste of fresh fish in chowder at all , I had to push it away from table as the salmon pieces weren't even fresh tasted like gone off,. Next I ordered fish and chips, chips are clearly fried on old oil you can even taste burned off oil, now lucky enough cod was fresh that's the only plus I have to give to this place. My wife has ordered chowder too, same story, she also ordered buffalo wings, they weren't so bad but you can taste alot of vinegar on them . Overall . Terrible experience. Staff were friendly. Atmosphere good. Wouldn't recommend if you are after meal. If you just want beer then this place is for you.
I always quite enjoy Morrisons any time I come here, they show live sporting events on the screens situated around the bar. The staff have always been very friendly and helpful, one evening my battery on my phone was near dead and asked one of the staff if it was possible to borrow a charger for a while. The staff member went out of their way to try and find a charger that would fit my phone, unfortunately they were unable to find one and asked other staff members. Definitely going above and beyond to try and help. The ambiance in the bar is always pleasant, never had any hassle and a great place to go for a quite drink and some food. They also host private functions, I have been to a couple hosted here and the staff have always been very helpful from what I have heard.
Bar man was rude and unprofessional, walked off without explanation while we were still giving our orders, when we told him we weren't finished he snapped back at us "right!". The food was average but fittingly priced, although the waiters hands were in our bowls when serving. Other potential customers came and left because the staff would look at them but continue their conversation instead of serving. Also the toilets were out of soap and towels and quite grubby but the cleaning rota had been filled in for hours ahead of the actual time. Absolutely would not recommend, and was very surprised considering the reputation and other reviews.
Visited this bar for dinner straight out of the office. Very happy with the menu choices. The quality and the way I was treated by the staff when I ordered the food was excellent and there is a choice of daily papers the read if your quick before the meal as served. Would have given 6 stars
I was a function recently with friends. I found the bar staff unhelpful and mostly had a attitude. The nicest of them all was the security who answered all my questions and helped me get a taxi. When we ordered food it took over a hour for it to be served. It wouldn’t be a place I’d recommend lack of beer options and the bad staff
We only had one drink here after an afternoon shopping, which was a well mixed cocktail. There was a rugby match on so the match was being broadcast over speakers which made it hard for my friends and I to have a conversation. Location great though.
Met an old school friend here last night....it was awful the music was so loud we couldn't have a conversation without shouting.....it must have been way above the decibel limits for noise exposure. When I saw a member of staff adjusting one of the speakers I asked him to turn it down and he told me to 'Get out of my face'. If the guy had half a brain he should have realised the only way I could speak to him was to get close and shout. I will never be back should Morrisons be the only bar left in Belfast. A terrible experience!!!
Shared 4 nibble for 10.00 with hubby. Lovely, fresh and plentiful ' chicken goujon, chilli prawns, cheesy garlic bread and vegetable spring rolls. Staff lovely and great vibe. Loved it and will be back.
In my opinion this is not just one of the best bars in Belfast but in the world. I've travelled and experienced some great venues but this bar is so much fun and the hospitality of this bar is second to none.
Love it good old fashioned bar with great food and service friendly and helpful bar staff.
