Fabulous experience as one would expect at The Ivy. From the time you walk in, the staff are super friendly. Coat service works like a charm. Waiters are briefed before time on your reservation and any special requests. We celebrated my wife’s birthday and they gave us a complimentary birthday dessert which was a lovely touch. We requested a quiet corner table for our special evening and they accommodated us. We had seafood dishes and they were all great, so compliments to the chef. The chocolate bomb dessert was definitely the best part of the evening and I’ll be back just for that. Keep up the great quality and service
We have been in Ivy for lunch following friends' and colleagues' recommendations. Location is super in High Street of Oxford on the other side of Covered Market. Really central. The building used to be a bank in the past. Probably the best interior decoration I have ever seen for a restaurant place. A mixture of art deco, tropical decoration and a journey to Oxford's history. ‍ Staff: Service was also exceptional with very professional attitude. They were helpful, polite and smiley. Definitely a big asset for the place. Food: We went for the set menu. I am afraid the food was really average. Nothing stunning with very bland flavours. I have to admit not pricey at all but nothing exceptional. Vegetarian options: Thera available vegetarian options. Quite a few actually. Kid-friendliness: There aren't many things for the kids to stay busy. Parking: There is no parking available in the streets around during daylight. Broad street is an option. Be prepared though for Oxford tariff parking costs. Wheelchair accessibility: Entrance is wheelchair accessible. Dietary restrictions: This is an asset. There is a wide range for selections to satisfy almost any dietary requirement
Absolutely amazing! The best and most professional staff I ever encountered. Considering amazing taste and appearance of food, stuff and look of the restaurant - it’s not even close to being pricy, worth every penny! Definitely I will come back :
First time at the ivy and it was a great experience at the Oxford branch, started off with some cocktails and then had some wine with food. The food was awesome and the pictures speak for themselves. Would definitely return for more. Vegetarian options: There is vegetarian options which is great the grilled halloumi is what we had alone with a steak!
Came for afternoon tea and the place was magical! Staff were lovely and the atmosphere was very gorgeous. The afternoon tea was definitely on the expensive side but we were able to share three between the 6 so that was ok. Would have been better if we had even number of savoury sandwiches since there were three on one tower. The tea was lovely but having a top up water could be even better. The AC was good and the plans looked amazing as well. Toilet was really nice and felt very clean. It will be even better if there are some student discount’s.
Fabulous place, from lovely art deco, lovely staff to wonderful food. A must dessert is their Ivy Chocolate Bomb The waitress Chantilly was absolutely fabulous. Will definitely return.
The interior, food and service were amazing! However, the waitress made a mistake when we asked her to split the bill equally and pay by card. We were stopped before leaving the restaurant by another person and asked to pay extra. That would be completely fine if the person was not rude and blaming the mistake on us, even when we happily paid the difference. I am sure this is an exception but it still left us with a bad taste in our mouth.
Fabulous experience! It definitely raised the bar high for other restaurants! Perfect decor, perfect staff, food not at all overpriced!! They even gave us a birthday surprise! With a full live show!
The atmosphere, food, presentation and service at The Ivy in Oxford were outstanding. I had the most delicious pumpkin and butternut squash soup. Every last detail was perfect. We happened upon the restaurant by chance but will definitely return again. Vegetarian options: I noticed some different vegetarian options I had not seen elsewhere.
We celebrated my wife’s Birthday here and it was a fabulous experience. Service was excellent! Food was superb. I would highly recommend it. Food was faultless, decor is very pleasant, experience was great we were seated in main lounge we had three course meal and chocolate bomb is really a fantastic, bombastic, explosion of taste to top up the experience… Thanks to all staff! Best
