Lovely pub with friendly staff. Food was amazing really tasty washed down with a chilled pint. If your looking for the old pub experience with great food look no further.
Cosy pub with nice people and good food!
Nice place to stay and have a drink. The food was very good, especially the pie.. Delicious!
Lovely to have a bit of space to enjoy a good meal without staff fussing just being attentive and friendly.
We had fish and chips as well as the pie and ale sampling plate. Everything was delicious and the staff were great. Seemed to be a mix of locals and tourists. Would recommend if you are in the area and need some food or drink.
For a pub just off a very busy road, this is a surprisingly nice place. Friendly staff, very decent food yummy madras pie and nice ales. Prices standard for the area. Does get much busier in the evenings, and some of the tables could do with better lighting.
Fantastic pub. Enjoyed lunch here and had the Ale and Pie taster, absolutely quality. Visit with confidence, nice ales on offer. For those negative reviews moaning about the price of the beers then the choice is yours, I choose an recommend paying a respectable price for quality ale and you'll find that here. Will be back!
A beautifully decorated, roomy pub. Entirely dead during the weekends, but absolutely heaving in weekday evenings.
