We went for Sunday dinner, food was great, service was OK but could've been a little bit more attentive, dinner came with unlimited gravy and Yorkshire puddings but were not asked it we wanted anymore, could've asked for more bit would've been nice to asked. Pudding was nice, sticky pudding had ginger in it which was a first, it was nice. Girls had the brownie which was very gooey and very chocolatey. Overall great, just lacking that extra mile but definitely worth a visit.
Very disappointed. We ordered 3 nibbles to start Onion Bhaji’s, Grilled Hulloumi, and Calamari. I ordered Hot Roast Ciabatta of the day with onion gravy. My wife ordered Prawn Sandwich on brown bread. Onion Bhajis came out still frozen in the middle and my Ciabatta Roast of the day was deep fried bread crumbed chicken covered in curry sauce with the chicken luke warm. Not what I would describe as a roastnI left the chicken as I didn’t think it had been cooked enough like my wife’s BhajisnI did feel sorry for the waiter being trained as soon as we complained the trainer was no where to be seennWhen my wife went to pay there was not even an apology. But they reluctantly didn’t charge for the Bhagis
Nice food, staff friendly, helpful and professional, very good atmosphere
We visited The Inn at the Bay after googling somewhere dog friendly for a Sunday lunch. The Inn has a large paid car park in front & this gives you a refund ticket for 2 hours which you present before you pay. We went for the Sunday roast sharer which looked the best value for money. And we were not wrong! It came with 3 types of meat, pigs in blankets, cauliflower cheese, roast & mashed potatoes, wonderful Yorkshire puds & lots of other veg. It was honestly one of the best roasts we have had. Service was attentive Isabella & the Inn is set just a few yards from Trearrdur Bay so nice views & we were able to walk the lovely food off when finished. We went again mid week as the weather was so poor & this time enjoyed the 3 courses for £17.95 deal which again was really good. Definitely recommend a visit.
Nice food and friendly staff. Sat in the conservatory this time as it was extremely windy outside. We enjoyed the food, the pie was a smaller portion than last time but still good. Waitress was attentive, and had a good sense of humour. However, I ordered my pie with garden peas and fries, but I got lukewarm mushy peas. Nobody came back to check that the meals were ok, and I was too hungry to mess about waiting. After pudding, we were just left sat for ages without being asked if we wanted anything else or the bill. Note: staff were stood around at this point. I kindly pointed out the food error when paying and was given a not so genuine apology. We will probably come back next time we do the big headland walk, and fingers crossed for getting it right.
