Great food, great staff. My wife and I had a lovely evening here. The staff were friendly and professional and were happy to explain the Welsh on the menu. The food was excellent and well worth the price £83 for three courses each with drinks. We stuck to the fish dishes and we're able to choose four very different dishes which were all delicious. The chef has an excellent repertoire. We were also lucky enough to see dolphins in the bay while we were waiting for our table! -Obviously this isn't something you can count on but it was delightful. This would be a five star review but for the decor inside the restaurant which although clean is beyond tired. Artex, exposed walls, polystyrene coving... The food and the staff deserve better although a discerning foodie won't really be bothered one the plates arrive.
A lovely meal with starter, mains & dessert all of excellent quality. Staff were friendly & chef popped out to say hello too. Fillet steak was beautifully cooked & monkfish was perfect too. Great location for watching the tide come in.
Had a really nice seefood lunch there on a visit a few years ago. View onto the sea was fantastic with nice and sunny weather that is. Service was swift with attention to detail. Not too crowded. Tried to visit again in June 2018. Closed. Seems permanent :-
Great food- all our choices were cooked to perfection. Plenty of options but the lamb and fish dishes are exceptional. Lovely staff and perfect views- even on the occasional rainy visit
Really disappointed with our meal here given the reviews i had read. I had monkfish tail with risotto so the potatoes weren't required nor the green beans which were also in the risotto. The fish was also overcooked on one side. My wife's hake was actually not fully cooked through so she was given a free pudding. It was served on crushed potatoes. Really it has no real competition in the village, obviously has regular local diners and is resting on whatever laurels it may have gained 20 years ago. The chef needs to visit restaurants in other cities and towns to get up to speed with what is now expected of a meal.
Great views of the bay from this location. I have only visited here for coffee. On each occasion it has been quite busy. Menu appears to be good, seems to be a popular destination in New Quay.
Sitting here dolphin watching with a bottle of Picpoul. Life doesn't get much better! Mussels, lobster linguine, mushrooms in garlic & blue cheese and Welsh black sirloin, all cooked perfectly
Wonderful little restaurant. Fantastic spot for lunch overlooking the harbour, I'd recommend the crab bruschetta, freshly prepared and tastes amazing.
Stopped by for breakfast. Slightly expensive but very nice food. Lovely veiws over Newquay harbour. Will be back again
Lovely holiday meal to celebrate our anniversary. Will try and go back if in the area.
