Really lovely meal (almost always very good but this one was excellent) Staff friendly. Service slightly slow at times but it was quite busy for midweek. We'll be back again & happily bring friends & family.

Quality food and priced accordingly. Slightly small portions. Good for a special occasion meal. Warm and inviting, but can get very noisy so book early. Personally, tables for 2 and 4's alongside 6 and 8's sittings isn't good for couples wanting a quietish meal together.

Friendly staff. Potato and celeriac soup rather gloopy and under seasoned. Would have benefited from being a bit thinner and some home made croutons to give contrast of texture. Mushroom risotto probably the best I have ever had, and I have eaten (and made) a lot in my time.

We came as a party of 10 for my sisters birthday on Saturday 10th March and I was very impressed. The set menu was extremely good value compared to most pubs in oxfordshire but a much better srandard of food too. Everyone was really happy with their meals including me who was very pleased to see a delicious vegan curry on offer. The service was very good and to top it all, they were using eco friendly straws and drink stirrers (no plastic from this pub going to the sea). Thank you for thinking of the environment as well as your customers and profits.
