If your looking for posh food cooked in-house by a real cook then this is the place to visit. Unlike pub chain microwave meals the food here is fantastic with a posh twist. The Hornsmill is such a wonderful warm looking place to meet and eat. Been here a few times now and never disappointed. Served by Shannon today, whom I must mention because of her very professional service and bubbly style which just makes eating at the Hornsmill an even more enjoyable experience. All staff very pleasant and well presented in matching shirts. Service for drinks as well as food very efficient. Highly recommended.

Lovely food great service. They do mini desserts if your conscience is feeling the pinch. They'll do small portions of food too just in case you're thinking 'no Marlene, I'm more than happy to have a fish and chips but inside you're all like 'holy s$#t Marlene, you're the very reason I'm still 24 stone'. Food tastes great too... had whitebait... did you know whitebait has 550 calories per 100g? I didn't... spent the evening in the gym crying in front of the vending machine. Great restaurant though.

Our waitress was very friendly and helpful. Atmosphere, also, was nice. The Rumpsteak however was not very good because it was grilled much too long on the outside. And at the end of the night we wanted to pay separately but we had to divide/add it up by ourselves. I understand during busy times it can be difficult to do so for a waitress to do it together with the guests, but it would be awesome customer service and with the right skills and software it would only take a few minutes but would increase tips and also have customers return in big groups again. As nice as the food and the waitress was, we would choose to go elsewhere in a big group in future, as sorting out our big bill at the end of a lovely evening would be easier with the help of the waitress and is or should be part of customer service.

We were a party of 4 adults & 1 teenage grandson who is a wheelchair user. Parked in the disabled car parking space & entered the Restaraunt very easily. Staff were very friendly & accommodating. We sat at an appropriate table shown to us by staff. Food was delicious. Dessert was tasty & substantial too. Staff were nicely attentive & had a banter with our teenage grandson who really enjoyed the day at The Hornsmill. Would recommend.

This place has been refurbished to a very high standard and provided us with good quality food in very comfortable surroundings. Staff were very helpful and friendly as well. Would not hesitate to recommend.
