Really great pub. Genuinely a proper British pub experience with great beer and really good food topped off with amazing service. Don’t miss this place.
8th October 2025n‘Wandering Wednesday’ this week took Hubby and I to a pub a few miles out of Warrington, to a pub called ‘Ring O Bells in Frodsham, I came across it whilst looking at another location…. The reviews look ok, so we gave it a try!nAll the staff were very friendly and attentive, but I forgot to ask their names! Sorry!,…..the pub itself is Olde Worlde as you would expect from its name! Very clean and cozy interior, which would be very inviting on a cold day…nThe menu is limited, in which tells me everything is fresh and cooked to order, we love that, they also have a specials board too…. Something for everyone.nnEntrée’s:nNeil ordered from the specials board:nSEA FOOD BASKET.nBattered cod bites, salt and pepper squid, battered calamari, butterfly prawns and breaded scampi served with fries, lemon.nnI had the ole faithful:nTEMPURA BATTERED HADDOCK FILLET..nServed with chips, mushy peas and homemade tartare sauce with was sooooo creamy…..we shared a portion of onion rings and bread with butter.nThe batter on all of the food was crisp till the end ……everything was piping hot and delicious…nA beautiful Church was next to be pub and I could imagine it would all be even more beautiful at Christmas.nnWe will definitely return to this gem of a pub in the near future…100%
We had a lovely meal here with the dogs. The service was quick even though the pub was full and they were very busy. It was a good, tasty Sunday roast. I had the vegetarian which was one of the best ever. They even had treats and water for the dogs. A free car park plus outside seating overlooking the beautiful church. Would definitely come here again.
Arrived, looking at the menu. Sat outside around 8.20pm. Staff member saw us. We went to order food was told by staff member food stops 8.30pm. Nowhere does it state in menus that food stops at a certain time. Or anywhere on any boards on the wall. We drove ftom Runcorn and partner drove from Gloucester for birthday meal. I have coeliac. Food recommended. Disappointed as was my son with learning disabilities. We ended up driving to Warrington and visited Dorado lounge who have a huge list of gf food. Such a shame. Please suggest to staff if they see 3 people looking at menus to mention time that food stops.nn**Amended my 1 star to 4 as eaten before as food was good. Thanks for letting us know re times we didnt see those.
My wife and I came in for valentines day and we had a great time. This has a real cosy feel to it which adds to the warm atmosphere of the place. Feels like your classic country pub. Food was reasonably priced and very tasty, with a good selection of draught ales, lagers and stouts. Definitely want to come backnback
