We’ve been eating here for years- best curry in Poole.

Naan bread was the best I have ever had anywhere but it was downhill from there. Chicken probably pre cooked, very hard and strange texture in a rather thick, gloopy sauce which didn't have much taste.. No sign of anything else fresh in the sauce, as in herbs of any sort. Quite disappointing but have only tried the one curry, perhaps we didn't choose well. Staff moderately attentive. When we called in there were only 4 people eating with numerous tables empty but we still had to wait whilst they contemplated whether they could fit us in. Not even a particularly busy time, Wednesday early evening.

My partner recommended a takeaway from Himachol as she used to live across the road and used it, so this was my first experience, people, this restaurant obviously has great chefs, the food was absolutely fantastic, we ordered at 6pm and were told it would be an hour, it turned up in 45mins, with a friendly delivery man, it was piping hot and so tasty, the rice was fluffy, the onion bhajis were fantastic, the poppadoms light and crisp, and the two meals out of this world, we didn't leave anything except a poppadom which I couldn't eat, highly recommended, it was so nice I had to ring the restaurant and thank them, Mike Freeman 9th December 2017

The food there is excellent. Very nice service and polite staff. Well worth the visit. If its indian food your after then you wont be disappointed. I know a few people that have been there and they all agree. Very full and satisfied....

We have been coming to the Himachol for over 20 years. Love the food and love Raj and Manic! The new menu has introduced some great new dishes! Delicious x
