Wow, booked for 8 people for fathers day and what can I say martyn made everything perfect from start to finish!!nLooking forward to going back the food was fantastic and piping hot, we had guests with dietary requirements and catered for everyone
Came for food six of us part ordered at the bar and part online.... Massive wait between the orders..... However the food was lovely. Not badly priced and the staff were friendly. Child friendly and dog friendly.
Last time we came Sunday lunch and service was just ok. We have been going here every year for the last 18 years as it was the first place we dined. We have noticed over the last few years it's gone down hill, but yesterday's experience was definitely the worst, upon arrival we found seats, the table had dishes on it which I moved after 20 minutes.starters where ok but took 45 minutes, the mains where rubbish. My wife's food was cold and my burger was poor. After 18 years of regular visits I can say it was my last pound spent there. On another point last time the glasses were blamed for my awful pint but the same happened again yesterday. It's a shame but I will never go back.
Overall a great experience; the food was excellent. My server, Matt was attentive and delivered my meal in record time.
Good fish and chips!nMartin is a nice chap.nGreat locals hangout.
