Went here with my family on the way back from Eden. It is a great place, friendly staff, great service. The seating area well small is very nice and for all the place I could see very clean. There is even a proper wood fueled fire place, that gives it the feel of a quite warm, welcoming place. Which it definitely is. The food, was amazing, very nicely sized meals all fresh. Some excellent cooking here. In terms of price for 4 mains and 3 desserts along with drinks it cost around 70 pounds and for the service and taste of the food it was well worth it. I would definitely come back here for dinner if I was passing through again and suggest friends who do pass this way to try it out.
Nice friendly pub. Good choice of drinks and decent prices. Dog friendly, no sports on tv but tv does show local news. Large tasty portions from the food menu and fair prices for the cornwall area. Staff always friendly
We had a lovely tasty carvery from here today. The Chef was very nice. Plenty to eat and choose from. .Hot and well cooked. We took our two dogs and we were shown to our table and called when ready. Given a bowl of water for the dogs. Treated well. Thank you will come again.
Went for an evening meal, I had the cod and chips which was really nice, Mrs had the bacon cheese burger which she said was alright. Service was faultless, very friendly and helpful. Clearly a local pub, lots of families and kids which is nice, but a bit too loud for our liking and kids running behind your table is a bit annoying. Overall decent meal, great service but not ideal atmosphere.
Well this pub was really good with a fine roast with a good vibe. No more. Just basic pub food. Rather gloomy. Not much atmosphere unless drinker or smoker.
Excellent value for money and great food. Highly recommend the roast dinner!! Staff very friendly and dog friendly including a dog menu. Visited as on holiday in the area and will return
The service was excellent and the meal.was good.value for money. Was good to see so many dog owners out enjoying a meal with their pets. We had the carvery at £12.95 a head. The meat quality and quantity was excellent the vegetables needed more cooking and they should keep it simple and do it well rather than trying to be too flashy with the vegetables and ensure they are suitably cooked.
Service was exceptional, Bar Staff were attentive towards our needs, food was Amazing, Fish Whale and Chips and the plated Roast with Homemade Yorkies nothing wrong with anything, looking forward to going again
Food was lovely and service great. Couldn't manage the deserts offered, the huge cakes looked so tempting.
Nice friendly pub with pleasant well mannered staff.Guest beers and large choice of beers and ciders etc. Good varied food menu with daily specials. There is also a carvery if that's your thing. Dogs welcome at one end of the pub. Great beer garden and lots of play activities for the children.
