Enjoyed a wonderful meal of fish and chips on Friday evening. The bar is always busy and welcoming and the fish and chip Friday is never a let down. The batter is light and crispy, the fish is a good size, fresh and cooked well. The chips are crispy and are lovely. There is a choice of mushy peas, curry sauce or gravy. Service is good and always friendly. Its a brilliant case of doing something simple and doing it very well. Would recommend booking a table.
I enjoyed the best fish at the Market Inn last night. Possibly the best I’ve tasted. Beautiful white, flaky moist fish in the lightest of batters. Traditional accompaniment of fresh chips, mushy peas, and some bread and real butter. They are beating the fish & chip shops at their own game, and offering the warmest of welcomes into the bargain. The prices are really affordable, the atmosphere is great, and there was live music too. If there’s a better night out somewhere……tell me where. I’ll be back again soon.
A great pub , under new management. Cosy and very welcoming. Recently held a wake for a family member. 50 people attended and the food and service was faultless . Thank you to Carl and Rachel for all of your hard work.
We went for fish, chips and mushy peas this afternoon and it was excellent. My dad said it was the best fish and chips he had ever had. The bar staff even found some ice-cream for pudding. Will definitely be back.
They did a wake for 25 people today and was very impressed with food and friendly staff. Very impressed and would recommend. Thank you .
Cracking pub in a great little village, only recently reopened but a lovely couple now running it. Due to do food I believe very soon and that should be the icing on the cake. They have some great plans for the place, looking forward to the next time. Great parking available...
Held a surprise 30th birthday party here last night and alls I cam say was AMAZING! The landlords of the place were amazing Bartenders were amazing Atmosphere was amazing! Not one bad word to be said about the place! Will 1000% be using there again for the next party! Thank you to Rachel & Carl for being so brilliant!

Great traditional local pub recently taken over by a lovely couple. Good selection of beers and the "Naaanizza is banging" according to one young local. Who are Domino's!
Amazing pub with a great couple in charge. So friendly with lovely, welcoming locals. A visit is highly recommended.
