Set in the heart of the countryside, the Hare and Hounds is within close proximity to many of Yorkshire's finest golf clubs including Hanging Heaton Golf Club and Bradley Park Golf Course and Driving Range. With our closeness to the Lancashire border, we welcome guests from both sides of the Pennies.
A country pub oozing rural charm and rustic character, our picturesque surroundings provide the perfect backdrop for savouring the hearty, seasonal pub-food on our menu, and the carefully nurtured cask ales and fine wines gracing our bar.

The food was acceptable, quite nice in fact, but not worth what we ended up paying for it in my opinion.

The staff were good, however we were initially shown to a table that had a bench seat. The bench seat was filthy and my wife was not prepared to sit there or let either me or our kids sit there. We would eat there again, but probably wouldn't go out of our way to do so.

First time and absolutely enjoyed every single bite. I had chicken and herb pie, spring onion mash and veg, beautiful, veg was spot on not too crunchy,  lived in west Yorkshire for two years by far the best meal so far. Staff were lovely very professional, very pleasant, thanks and well done.

Called in for lunch, wonderful stone building magnificent views over the countryside but those were the best bits. My wife ordered from the festive menu and I had The ribeye steak from the house menu. Cold 
vegetables for my good lady and soggy onion rings on my plate spoiled what was otherwise a couple of good looking meals. This was our second visit and we have concluded that this kitchen requires a lot more attention to details so as to deliver better food for the money (not the cheapest)

. Best burger ever, stopped by after 9pm after a late one at work.  Lovely staff, good beers. 
And a doggy menu!! Amazing. 
Swing by you won't be disappointed.
