Three real ales reasonably priced.

Friendly, helpful staff, and very reasonable prices. The selection of real ales isn't massive, but the ones available are always well kept. The function room is free to use and have used it a couple of times for parties. You don't need to be a member to go there. Nice club.

The landlord is rude. My partner and I called in for a drink as we walked to visit our family from a car park further down. We had travelled from Birmingham and thought we would give them a try. He was dismissive and giving us funny looks, maybe it was the accent or the fact we werent local but you would think small places would welcome the business. We were not made to feel welcome at all which is a shame because we had 30 family members who would have ventured down with us to give his business a boost that day as we were having a small gathering. The sad thing is, we are all business owners and would have spent a small fortune that day. We ended up going to the local Ship Inn instead and spent over £350 and had a most enjoyable experience.

Went in over the Christmas holiday period after visiting with relatives. Warm place. Ales spot on. Busy and friendly. Lovely friendly lass sat at the bar smiled and said hello as we walked in and thank you and bye as we walked out. Can't fault it.
