Brill old style pub with great range of ales & ciders and cobs the size of doorsteps! Dart board made it even more enjoyable..Rooms: 5/5
A lovely pub with the fair recently added beer garden huge props to the owners for this. The staff are super welcoming and the locals are just as friendly. Recommend popping in here for a pint or few and to play the Tuesday night pub quiz.
It had a great range of Black country brewery beers including a new citrussy one. Bar staff were fantastic and helped make our enjoyable lunchtime session.
Great beer. Great place. Great time. Support your local. Big screens showing the world cup right now November 22 but there are still places to sit undisturbed. Now winter is nearly with us, we had a real coal fire last night. Really homely.
Clicky Pub and smelt funny, my cold drink with ice was fine ... Although no coffee available, excuse given, but didn't listen as suprised by coffee unavailable on the day of our visit ‍
Lovely stop off after a Sunday walk Pigs in blankets, pork bap and cider to wash it down. See you again soonRooms: 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay of 2 nights at this wonderful establishment. Staff and owners were so friendly and helpful, they ensured that we had a full vegan breakfast which we very much enjoyed. I forgot to take my hair conditioner and after a quick phone call, a bottle was delivered to me within literally a couple of minutes. Our rooms were immaculate and beautifully furnished. The atmosphere was lovely, everyone so friendly. I would highly recommend and look forward to revisiting when we visit family in the area.
Would give this place more stars if I could! We were in the area for a wedding nearby and booked a 2 night stay. Rooms are fantastic, and the pub is everything you want from a boozer! The breakfasts are brilliant, fantastic quality and value and our hosts couldn't do enough for us. Gary even offered to give us a lift to retrieve our car from the venue the following morning! We kindly declined as I am sure he had enough of his own work to do! If we are in the area again I wouldn't hesitate to rebook. Thanks for a lovely stay!
Great little pub. Stayed the night because we had a wedding at the Avoncroft Museum which was perfect- a 10 minute walk. Helen was very welcoming when we arrived, I got a cob roll and a slice of ham pie to eat in the room. Bed was really comfy and room was clean- bottle water provided which was a nice touch. They have a huge selection of ale which we sampled before heading off and they have loads of bar snacks too. Breakfast in the morning was lovely- good value for money in my opinion. Highly reccomend if you're in the area.
A bit of a walk from the train station, but you can get a bus straight here. I had a Sunburst IPA and scratchings for £5.40. Very good ale, but I thought that the scratchings were a little expensive. Look forward to returning and enjoying a quality ale with a cob hopefully in the small garden, weather permitting
