went for a meal 19/08/2014, ordered mixed grill, the lamb chop was raw, the steak was raw, sent them back, was offered a free desert, but we declined this, no other offer of redress. My wife had their Atlantic Cod, mushy peas were out of a tin and were clearly cheap, condiments were cheap in plastic wrappers, what a shame use to be great food, would not go their again even for a freebee
Popped in with friends and family for bite to eat. Changed since last went. Food is pub grub and there were some lovely snacks put out on the bar! We had Ribs, Pizza, Chille, and various baguettes, all very good and cheap! . Love the cheesy chips! Real Ales are excellent HPA being my favourite . Found the Landlady and staff very friendly. Been to the gate a couple of times since and it has a really friendly atmosphere. Will be going again shortly. Definitely recommend!
From the moment we walked through the door the lady of the house was friendly and polite and we felt comfortable straight away in a pub we had never been in before. FOOD 5* SERVICE 5* DRINKS BROUGHT TO OUR TABLE maybe as it was quiet only being 12.05, not busy till after 12.30 Our food was cooked to how we had ordered. A very pleasant drive from where we ,what else could we have asked for ! ah yes a bill that didn't make your jaw drop. WELL DONE & THANKYOU. We will be back some time and will tell our friends about you
I used to go there regularly a few years ago, but unfortunately it's now shut!!
