My absolute go to shop for treats. Fantastic products, quality, staff are so warm and welcoming. Here's my newly acquired coffee. My kitchen smells lovely. But you have everything from pies, cheese, pasta, jars, it's heaven

A MUST VISIT LOCATION... Whether a visitor to York or resident, the hairy fig is a must for buying local and quality produce. Staff are knowledgeable, helpful and very friendly. The goods baked on site are also amazing, with the Yorkshire Pasty being a personal fave.

Call in to see what food they had. The owners said yes we will sort something. Out came a beautiful platter of cheese and meats and a lovely bottle of wine.  Absolutely amazing.  Highly recommended. Will definitely be back when visiting.

This is our must visit place for a cuppa on every visit to York. Plus their pies/quiches are fantastic. The indoor tea room is closed due to COVID. Outside seating on pavement is great as you can people too

The owner was too busy chatting to her friend to acknowledge that I had even walked in. After a few minutes she turned her back on me and I left. Shame, I thought I would be a repeat customer. Very rude staff.

Absolutely delicious warm goats cheese salad and the house tea was lovely - so much so that we bought a bag to enjoy at home. There is only room for about ten people but it's definitely worth a visit.

Beautiful products, some very unique. I sent a hamper to my family in York I live abroad. Their team made it super easy to coordinate and were very accommodating to my needs. Would highly recommend!

Gorgeous selection of foodstuffs, veg and cheese. Lovely little shop.

A lovely meal had for my boyfriend and I, nothing was too much trouble even though we kept them open late. We left having dined, had a bottle of wine and with a bag full of products. Will be back if we visit York again

Lovely little tea room, serving tasty loose leaf hot tea and delicious toasted teacakes!
