Story

On the quiet street of Eyre Street Hill lies a beautiful old pub based in an old gunmakers shop.

Providing three well kept real ales on rotation along with a selection of craft beer & quality spirits, The Gunmakers is just a classic English pub based on quality product & excellent service.

Food is all prepared in house by our chef with nothing purchased in frozen.

The kitchen opening times are 12pm to 3pm and 6pm to 9pm.

The venue is open from Monday to Friday & is available for private hire during the weekends.

great cocktails particularly recommend the margarita picante, good food, fantastic service, and overall very good vibes. of the food we tried, we particularly enjoyed the tuna tostada, the camarones tacos, and much to the surprise of my carnivore husband the mushroom tacos. a most enjoyable Friday night!Food: 5/5
A real find. If you want genuine Mexican - eg. the scent of the tacos literally taking you back to when you were in Mexico 14 years ago - come here. If you are looking for genuine polite, attentive and professional service, come here. The girl/woman sorry for describing you that way, I didn't get your name has to have been one of the best waitresses I've had in London in years. Same goes to the chap who might have been the manager/owner. The team make you feel very welcome. Food is delicious. Good selection of cider, beers and the rose wine went down well too. I'd recommend the guacamole for the table, plus we enjoyed sharing the lamb shank. Will definitely return. Ps the 'beer garden' is under cover so good for rain, not if you plan on getting a tan.
There is a lovely hidden heated garden which was a nice change to enjoy the start of sunny spring. Although you often get forgotten by staff, which wasn’t an issue for us as we weren’t in any rush. The food was tasty and well made. I liked the No fish tacos and calamari the best. The churros were disappointing, as they were baked and didn’t have that yummy moreishness of normal churros. The cocktail were also mediocre. A nice chilled vibe with some good food. Great for after work socialising Vegetarian options: Lots of vegetarian options. My favourite was the no fish tacos
The Sunday roast is beyond delicious! They have a vegetarian option which I thoroughly enjoyed The service excellent and the staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. The portions are very generous and hit the spot! Thank you so much and I highly recommend The Gunmakers.
Great little boozer of the main drag in Clerkenwell. Really friendly staff. Willing to make recommendations and help. The Baja tacos were top notch. Very tasty, just need more of them. Good selection of beers. Thanks.
Great tacos and cocktails. It was a quiet Wednesday evening missed their Taco Tuesday deal but we’ll be going back soon but the service was great and we had a table for 5 without having to shout over others. A gem of a place. Pay them a visit if you’re around Farringdon as you’ll avoid the braying crowd In Exmouth Market.
We went for an office summer lunch where we did activities such as a quiz and some painting! The Gunmakers were so accommodating, esp with the paint part! A dog friendly pub, delicious food, lovely light palm room, helpful staff and all round a lovely meal out. Will definitely be going back and would recommend it. .Food: 4/5
Just came from the Eagle severely disappointed. This place is just amazing. Great vibes, service, the drinks are lovely and honestly, the food was incredible. Best tacos ever by far.
Back street bar with great drinks, cocktails and laid back atmosphere. One can drink outside on the pavement of this quiet street a warm summer day, but be prepared to stand. They have only a handful of outside bar stools.Service: 5/5
Was a little unsure on the menu at first glance, but was very pleasantly surprised! The chicken supreme with all the Asian influences worked really well and was both pretty and full of interesting flavours! Service was good. Asked for some mayo to go with the crispy chicken skin, to which the waiter went to check with the chef. The chef made a soy based sauces she think would work better, which was highly appreciated!
