This is hands down the best bar I was at in my trips to London. I took some bar tours of London and visited many great places. The owner and all the staff here are far better and the atmosphere is a step above. Thanks for giving my family such a great time and I will be back!Food: 5/5
A rare chintzy olde worlde boozer on the fringe of the City, that was a regular 'crawl' stop off back in the 80s. Now with not one but two admittedly compact and bijou music rooms that gets a wide range of top quality acts from Americana, Folk and other genres. Helpful staff and a relaxed atmosphere on the Friday I was there for the basement venue gig made me think I should get back down there more often once again!
We rented the main room for a party and had the most amazing experience. Amazing pub, Angie and the staff were great and super hospitable. Thank you!Food: 5/5
Used to come here a lot in 2009 - 2011 and loved it. Can't quite put my finger on it but recent times I've visited haven't lived up to the good ol days. Prices are on the higher side. The outside area is at a good location for watching the world go by.Service: 4/5
If I could give more than 5 stars for atmosphere I would. This has got to be one of the best pubs in London. It's a proper pub - and often live music and other events. I've even bumped into a couple of celebrities in there.Food: 4/5
Very impressed with this tiny pub. Round the corner from my place, but if it wasn't I'd make an effort to go there. Well worth a visit. Great midday boozer.Service: 5/5
Went to see a band upstairs The Singing Loins the pub downstairs was a proper pub with one real ale on in good condition and two more hand pumps. Didn't eat there.Service: 4/5
Only popped in for a quick drink, the bar lady saved the day I felt for her big time, she was running around sweating trying to sort everything out at once, the ice machine was broken and they were waiting for a guy to deliver the ice and she saved me from getting a terrible Guinness which was being poured by one of the guys, she stepped in and poured it herself. Thank you this lady.
When for a private function on a Saturday. The whole pub: 3 floors, can be rented out. Music is available in all the rooms. The staff were great and very cognisant of ensure only the party guests where there. Fantastic experience.
I hired the upstairs room for a birthday party and I’d highly recommend to anyone looking for a private venue. All the staff were super helpful before/during the event, the food was tasty and we had a great evening. Thank you!Food: 5/5
