Went for the re-launch of the pub. They have had a fabulous makeover. All new interior and a new food menu with a very large choice of new dishes. The outside space is lovely and they have a great space for children. Staff are very friendly and attentive. Review useful like follow thanks
This is the first time I have been since the renovation and it looks fab inside, toilet nice and clean, and the food was fantastic and delicious never tasted food so spot on, next time I visit my brother I will definitely go there again. I forgot to take a photo of my pudding .
Very nice food. We had the Sunday lunch and kebab. Would recommend and will go back. Dogs welcome. Friendly staff. Quick service. Good menu with lots of choice.
Nachos were nice, portions not huge, decent value overall though because of the offer. Staff seemed overwhelmed, no table service and ordering at the bar was quite slow
Got recommended this pub and we weren't disappointed, we wasn't waiting long for food, service was excellent, the pub was clean and inviting would definitely visit again.
We visited on a Sunday lunchtime and will definitely go back. The vegetarian Sunday roast was delicious. I was assured that the Lamb shank was also very good. The waitress was really smiley and friendly. My sons only criticism was that he'd rather have cooked onions on his burger, not raw. He did still really enjoy his meal. Great food, good value, nice atmosphere/ surroundings, friendly staff.
Service was excellent, attentive staff were kind and friendly worthy of 5 stars. The aesthetics, decor and look of the place was to a high standard worthy of 5 stars. The menu looked extensive but had no 'all day breakfast' which wasn't as standard as I'd come to expect. Whilst the place had only just opened at 12 noon I was cold and saw others still with coats on so presume I was not alone. Would happily return for other food and recommend the place with the above qualifications.
A lovely pub, lovely setting, great service. Went once with my daughter - 16th August 2022 and enjoyed the food Steak and Ale Pie. Three hours later was very VERY sick. I let them know via messenger / which they read and received no reply or even any acknowledgement of my complaint. I wouldn't recommend on the basis that whilst they appear to welcome feedback from customers on social media, they obviously don't have a mechanism to take ownership of a complaint - a quite serious complaint if it is in relation to the quality and safety of the food they are serving.
I really like this pub. It was our second visit to eat this evening and I was not disappointed. The welcome and service is very good, the staff seem happy to be there, and how often can you say that. The decor, cosiness and even the are of a very good standard! Which surprises me, you don't often get all of those boxes ticked. From a punter who is often disappointed, but here I am not. Thanks to all at the Greyhound.
We had heard good things about this place. Recent revamp. We went as a group of 7 for a family Sunday lunch. Place looks good, friendly welcome. Orders included 2 lamb shanks, 2 pork Sunday lunches, hunters chicken and 2 kids meals. Hunters chicken was overcooked and chewy. One lamb shank was barely warm, the other was still frozen in the centre! Both pork meals were tepid at best. We were assured that all meals are probed before serving, clearly not the case. Offered refunds and drinks Will not be returning. Food like that is going to make people Ill. Needs serious work
