Established in 2001, MARC restaurants are dedicated to delivering epicurean excellence across London and in New York City, Greenwich CT and Boston MA.
A Mayfair institution, The Greenhouse has had many guises over the years; it is here that Gary Rhodes first made his mark in the 90’s and where Paul Merrett earned the restaurant its first Michelin star. Bought by MARC Ltd in 2003, the restaurant reached new heights in October 2013 earning its second Michelin star under Executive Chef Arnaud Bignon.
Tucked away just off a quiet Mayfair mews, the restaurant is approached through a serene landscaped garden featuring stonework by British sculptor Emily Young. Elements of the garden are carried into the restaurant with the use of natural materials such as marble, slate and wood offset by fresh colours, specially commissioned miniature sculptures and striking contemporary art from the likes of Katy Moran, David Thorpe and works by Henri Matisse adorn the walls.
With a focus on seasonality, the highest quality ingredients have become an integral part of Chef Bignon’s approach to cooking which combines traditional French training with contemporary techniques. Based around finding the perfect harmony and balance in all his dishes, he plays with fresh, inspiring and original flavours. The menus change seasonally and the monthly tasting menus are a highlight for regulars, offering the very best on the market and showcasing Bignon’s creativity.
Complementing the food is one of the most impressive wine collections in the UK, both in terms of quality and size, with over 3,600 bins. Offering a wide selection of Old and New World wines from across the globe, there is wine to suit all palates and occasions, with many excellent wines available for under £40. The Greenhouse has won the prestigious Wine Spectator’s Grand Award every year since 2005 and has become a hot spot for wine lovers and foodies alike.
Continually winning the praise of critics, gourmands and wine lovers, The Greenhouse is one of London’s finest dining experiences.
