My daughter took me here for afternoon tea as a belated Mother's Day treat. We enjoyed it very much. The staff were very helpful.

Staff - Very friendly. (Wetherspoon take note) Coffee - Great! Large Breakfast - Reasonably good and reasonably priced. HOWEVER, BE WARNED, Wednesday is Kids Club day! If you want a quiet breakfast or drink it ain't happening! It's a great idea and I fully support it but if you're not into a whole bunch of screaming kids tearing about the place, Wednesday's in The Grapes is most definitely not for you. It's great that there's an outlet for energetic young kids and stressed out parents but four hours 1000-1400 of Kids Club is waaaaaaaayyyyyyyyy too much. Perhaps scale it back a bit to a couple of hours? Or two hours on a Monday and Wednesday maybe?

We have not been in there for a while as the guinness was not very nice and my husband drinks nothing else also they had run out of wine and the staff I think need to be trained on people skills . I tried it again with my friend only to be served our wine in plastic glasses so not the place for us .

The manager, Daniel O'Brien, is rude, arrogant and has NO customer service skills. He shut a door in my face, accused my friend and myself of lying, and would NOT honour a drink owed to our friend, even once it was made clear they had falsely advertised it. He listened to nothing we said, had a smirk on his face the entire time we were talking with him, looking behind him incase there was something better going on (we were in an empty foyer - it was awkward), whilst adjusting the sun glasses on the top of his head - at 10pm!?lol. I would never go there again, due to this man. He single handedly ruined our night...and he enjoyed the fact that he did.
