Great bar, everyone is made welcome. The owner was great to our child. The bar staff could do the job with eyes closed, live music. Very friendly and inkeeping with what you would expect from a good auld Scottish bar. Well done!!
The ONLY pub in Stranraer that serves cask ale. Friendly real pub with various rooms around a traditional bar. Small choice of ale, but both those sampled were well conditioned and served by friendly staff.
A nice local pub. Just the front part was open. Not too many tables, beer/lager selection was ok. Was nice to sit with locals.
Visited a few times and always made to feel welcome. Well kept cask beer too, which is hard to find in these parts!
Great little pub.. wonderful owners.. had a really nice time there... TWICE!!
This is the sort of pub that has long disappeared from the streets of many British towns and cities. A real local that serves good beer and offers civilised conversation for all customers, local or just passing through, as well as privacy for those who may prefer it. The two ales were very well kept and the establishment deserves its inclusion in Camera's Good Beer Guide.
Stopped in for a couple of pints while waiting for the bus, lovely pint
Excellent Ale this week Corncrake just ran out two quick great ale FELL RUNNER ON BAR great pint of Taylors Landlord on tap today
5 stars for good variety of drinks and ales and friendly locals and bar staff. A traditional long standing venue. Worth a visit
A family run pub, which serves the best real ale in the area. Always a warm welcome with friendly staff. Renowned for its excellent free traditional/folk, live music on Friday nights. It would be hard to find better, played by people who do it for the pleasure of it. Highly recommended.
