Epic first experience of the Beefeater Granary last night as we went to celebrate our engagement! Thanks so much to Emma and the team of staff that were able to cope during a busy evening, as well as making us all feel welcome. Our food was truly delicious, and well worth the wait. When placing our order, we notified the staff that two members on our table had food allergies, and we felt safe in the knowledge that the team were confident and competent at dealing with this. The food, the service, the atmosphere and the overall experience inside the venue were fantastic and we can't fault it, however I think there is an opportunity to improve the experience and safety when walking from the restaurant to the car park. There was no light floodlights, lights on buildings, etc when walking to the car park barriers and into the car park to collect our car. As a female, I know how vulnerable I can feel in poorly lit places, so I think this could be an opportunity to improve the feeling of safety after leaving the venue. However, this didn't detract from the fantastic experience we had last night and we wouldn't hesitate to return when we are next on holiday. Thabkyou Team Beefeater
Great experience today lunch time. Mel new waitress was friendly and exceeded our expectations. Nice steak medium rare always the best, drinks and sticky toffee pudding as usual we will certainly come back.
Visited this restaurant on a Saturday afternoon. I gave the steak sampler succulent 4oz sirloin, tender 4oz fillet and flavoursome 4oz rump steak served with peppercorn sauce, grilled flat mushroom, roasted tomato, onion rings and triple-cooked chips priced at 22,99 GBP and requested at medium-rare a try. Steaks were mostly at the requested cooking stage medium-rare and super delicious. The staff were very friendly. Parking: Parking is available free of charge on site - otherwise 2,70 GBP for 1-2 hours.
Hmm... where to start.... We waited 5 minutes until some one came up to us and sat us down - it wasn't busy, staff just walking around or standing and talking together... When taking orders everything was ok until we wanted to order dessert and the lady interrupted us and said that order for dessert will take later on, quite rude. Any other Beafeater restaurant- they took all order at once - just to make easier for themselves. Starters ok, kids meal came with the starters so thats great but the meal for the kid itself was quite disappointing. We took kids pizza and it wasn't worth the price. Pizza was just awful-reheated in microwave, sides ok but not great. A small tip -order a burger - at least burger patty will be great With our order - cooked to requested temp, however- the steaks - a lot of fat on the sides and instead of 100% of meat after tmcutting fat from the sides - 60-70% of steak left... not really happy with the price for that... Staff seems to be with a can't be bothered attitude, unfortunately all of them. So when we finished our meals - was waiting like 10 min for any member of staff to pass by to finally get our dessert order. After that time I went on a lovely journey to find member of staff. When I found them - they all were standing in a circle and chatting to each other! How ridiculous that sounds?! And again there was maybe 4-5 table all together with us - and there were around 5-6 members of staff- and just the waiters. Overall - not recommending, go somewhere else if you want quality and service on at least decent level.
Food was lovely, but service sucked. We arrived to find the front desk empty. We waited a good five minutes for someone to arrive. No apology, just "have you booked?" The place was half empty so it really wouldn't matter if we hadn't reserved a table. The staff looked miserable and the atmosphere was flat. We waited a long time to be served and even longer for the food. The reason we visited was for the vegan options and the special offer menu. The waitress didn't even mention the special menu so we had to ask - without it we would have paid a lot more! Anyway, we did enjoy the food and would return to try some other options. I just hope for better service next time.
It had been a number of years since our last visit. We received a warm welcome upon arrival.. I asked for a quieter area if possible & sure enough, that's what we got. Drinks order taken as we were ready & food the same. We asked for a couple of alterations to my wife's meal & it was no problem. The food was very good, hot & hot plates too.. we were asked a couple of times if the food & drinks were ok. Couldn't manage desserts to full. All the staff were so nice. Definitely going again. Happy Bunnies. Parking: Barriers on the car park. Take your ticket & get it validated before you leave.
We had a meal at the Granary on 27/12/22 and overall the food was very good and the service excellent. Only criticism was the mini sundae I ordered for dessert was meant to have a warm brownie included but the brownie was cold. Good value for money and I would recommend. Parking: Parking is in the Golf car park and there is a ticket machine and you need to get your ticket validated. Do not park in the Premier Inn car park or you could be fined.
We went for the unlimited breakfast for £9.99. The waitress who served us was amazing, very friendly, and knowledgeable, couldn't help us enough. Food was fresh straight off the grill. The restaurant was clean, and there was lots of choice on the menu, highly recommended if you fancy taking the family for a sunday breakfast.Food: 5/5
Went in for a lunch, food ordered and came within 15 minutes food was hot and well pricedFood: 5/5
It would have got 5* if I hadn’t of googled dog friendly restaurants and this was first on my list. To be told on arrival it was not! Anyhow, we did stay for food - pouch slept soundly in the car from her long walk :- We got a table no problem and our waitress was amazing, I didn’t get her name unfortunately, but she was running around the entire time, chatting to tables and making sure everyone was happy, even though she was rushed off her feet she did so with a smile. Food was served in good time, we both had roasts. The meat was cooked perfectly and crispy Yorkshires. I prefer a mash potato with my roast so that’s the downside really. If they had cauliflower cheese as an extra too I would’ve even added that! But good food, good price and lovely staff.
