Meal tasted amazing! Burgers were juicy and the coleslaw was perfect! service was great too. Unfortunately the Pepsi from the tap wasn't very nice though.
Booked in for bottomless brunch. Was running a tad late and tried multiple times to call and no answer. Despite this when we arrived we were greeted by the friendliest of staff. Nat and Rhi I believe their names were. Informed us on how the evening will run and kept drinks flowing. They even acknowledged my dietary requirements so thank you. Had a chat with staff about your own infused gins which are to die for, didn’t mind paying extra to try them. Although limited on the bottomless drinks it’s definitely great value for money and will definitely be returning.
Booked a table and paid a deposit. When we arrived, someone was sat at our table despite there being a reserved sign. We then had to order at the bar, although there were lots of staff on, they were not attentive or welcoming. Placed order, then informed they had no pulled beef, the person behind the bar making our cocktails had no idea what they were doing and were quite open about that. The bar was dirty as was the whole place. This was 5pm so I dread to think what state the place gets in later when there are a few more people there. Our food arrived, and was bought at different times to the table. No cutlery, no serviettes. The food was obviously just microwaved as it was dry and tasteless, the mozzarella sticks were overbooked and dry. No dips bought as ordered. The waitress had no idea what she was doing. No customer service skills. Overall very disappointing. Glad we didn’t book a bottomless brunch as that would inevitably have been a shambles. Definitely won’t be going back.
I've been going here for years but last night was the worst night I've had there, for some reason my wife was told her coat was not allowed inside, despite lots of other people wearing theirs. I understand some unscrupilous people try to smuggle things in but they could have searched her coat like they did her bag but apparently couldn't tell us why, but we could by coincidence use the brand new cloakroom they've opened for only £2 cash only the weather forecast said it was going to be only 2 degrees so we weren't happy. Once inside it became obvious everyone was cold as people rushed to the top floor bar almost causing a crush their were so many people up there meaning the bouncers stopped letting people go up. When we left around 1 o'clock the cloakroom had been closed and they were letting people in no matter what they were wearing.
Following my first and last visit to this bar on 03.03.23 at 10:00 pm, I had a terrible experience and faced discrimination. When attending I was with my three Caucasian friends. I was then approached by the security guard in a rude manner stating that I could not enter the bar wearing my jacket. I was then shown to the cloakroom to rang my coat. The cost of the cloakroom was £2 so I proceeded to pay with Apple Pay. I was told only cash. As I did not have any cash I was told that I was not allowed in the bar with my friends. I then asked if I could leave my jacket outside as there were other jackets hung on the door. The security guard told me no. I then asked to speak to the manger. Following a discussion with the manger he said I could leave my jacket on the floor at my own discretion which I agreed to. Whilst inside the bar I then noticed around 20 other people inside wearing jackets and some of them were similar to mine. I don’t understand why I was treated in that way and separated from initially joining my friends when other people in the bar also had jackets on. Following my experience I feel as though I was treated unfairly and targeted. For that reason I will never visit the establishment again as it just ruined my whole experience.
The lady who is on security here is the rudest person I have ever met. I am the most chilled out person, never out for trouble. She was offering me out for a fight because I was apparently congregating at the entrance. I was seeing if my friend was outside. She needs the sack. Disgusted in her behaviour.
Burgers are very dry we could not eat them especially the vegan ones. Wouldn't go back. Staff arrived really lovely though
Drinks although lovely are very expensive and not always worth the price. Some staff often try and encourage you to have a gin cocktail worth £8 when you ask for a standard gin and tonic. The food is surprisingly good and reasonably priced. Seating both indoors and outdoors so it's a good place to visit all year round. Outdoor seating is very pretty and indoor seating is a bit quirky.
What a lovely place! We went for lunch which was delicious! Can't wait go go back in the evening, loads of Gins to choose from too
Great city centre pub. Brilliant on match days full of home supporters. Friendly helpful staff.
