We found this place tucked away in Heathrow T2, apart from the bustle of other eateries within the terminal. It was quieter and a nice place to spend time. The food was delicious, filling, and beautifully presented. The service was good, too. The food arrived in a timely manner, but expect to spend a little longer here than at other restaurants in the terminal.
Eating at the airport is usually a matter of “grab and smash”. Most outlets tailor for this lack of appreciation in a busy, sometimes claustrophobic setting. The Gorgeous Kitchen is like the business lounge of food consumption. The menu offers a great range of British and European dishes. The staff are salt of the earth the waiter was from Birmingham, you cannot get more down to earth than fine fellows from the region and the atmosphere is bright and relaxed. The food is tasty, served quickly but falls short on excitement and panache. Not bad on price and excellent for an airport meal.
The service was brilliant. We had a South Africa lady who made us feel at home. The food was decent, but disappointed in the lack of chips that came with it. The drinks were small and it wasn’t the normal ginger beer I used to. The sitting area was also very small. This was the TGK burger bar.
Gorgeous kitchen - beautifully decorated restaurant in Terminal 2, next to Lufthansa lounges. Just turn right after you go through the security checks. The restaurant is also a great place for planespotting. Staffs are very welcoming and friendly. The menu is simple with good variety. Friend the vegetarian breakfast option. It was very good. The veg sausage was nice. Great place to get a bite of English food before the flight!
Very quiet and interior-calm place to dinner before take-off. The prices are slightly higher as expected for the airport. The staff is friendly and kind. The food is usually good and tasty - we had a beef ragú with tagliatale and salad. The pasta was al-dente but beef could be more tender.
Food was good for "airport food". Service was nice. In the end we had to pay cash, because the card machine was broken that day. I think they should warn people before they order, so that they can decide if they need to go withdraw some money.
We stumbled across this gem at the Heathrow airport and I'm glad we did! We had some time to kill and was able to sit back and relax. This restaurant was comfortable, the staff was friendly and our waiter went over the menu with us and his wine recommendation was spot on! We had the chicken plate that came with coconut rice and a side order of broccoli with almonds it was delicious
Great vegetarian breakfast. Amazing service would have appreciated a bigger portion. Lovely space as well. I am definitely stopping by when next I am heading out London.
Really lovely service by the waiters and waitressss here. Drinks were tasty and food was delivered swiftly. The twice cooked chips were awesome however the mains were a bit of a let down. The chicken I had was over cooked and gristly and the sauce lacked flavor unfortunately. The fish curry seemed to ha e quite cheap fish however the portion size was quite large. It’s a nice way to pass time at the airport but don’t expect any high culinary standards.
Had the TGK breakfast, Americano and cranberry juice. Pretty good all round apart from the disc of black pudding which tasted like a piece of packing material - completely dried. Service was good and the restaurant spacious with good views out of the end of the terminal. Came to around £17 which is about the same across the airport.
