The George Inn - JD Wetherspoon

I ordered a small Fish & Chips with Mushy Peas and Curry Sauce. And I must say, that I really really enjoyed it. The fish batter was just how I like it - slightly crispy not not too hard. Curry sauce was the right heat for me (similar to a Tikka), and was well priced. Also, a pint of Guinness was only £2.23. Which in itself, it's brilliant. Place was clean and tidy too.

Curry night at a great Weatherspoons, lovely venue with fabulous staff. Ordered via the app the drinks and starters were ready and delivered super quick. Plenty of seating and outdoor patio

Great place to meet friends and family. or just to visit by yourself. The service is brilliant. The food is served quickly, which comes out pipping hot, which to me is perfect. The people behind the bar are always helpful and smiling. Its a pretty big place inside, the deco is neat, with light colours. It has different types of table setting so yes it can be cosy or casual. It does have a little place outside, this is tiny though. It fits 4 tables for 4 with 1 umbrella. It also doesn't have any external heating, so yes you will need to smoke in the cold !!

I sometimes go here for dinner the meals are hot, tasty, the service is pretty quick and it's good value for money. They have meals set for children and on the menus you can see what's good for vegetarians. Not sure about the alcohol side if things as i don't drink much, but my hubby and son say it's great value. I do enjoy it here and would recommend it anyone ...

Great food, good service, cheap and cheerful! This is a lovely building and feels very classy, even though it's a Weatherspoons! Definitely recommend?
