Loved the atmosphere of this place. We were looking for a good fish and chips shop and while we weren't sure which one to go for we decided to come here. And, I'm glad we did. The staff were friendly and welcomed us to the restaurant, the food - DIVINE - and overall the experience was smooth sailing and good.
They don’t take any reservation, we went there around 5:30pm in a group of 6. When we got there, it’s already full, there’s one couple on the queue, it won’t take long before we got the table. The staff are very friendly and welcome , offer us one table for 6 even it was busy. The food was great and delicious. My friends order mussels, I had a sea brass, very delicious. We had a Cranachan whiskey cream for dessert.
Wonderful atmosphere, friendly staff and delicious food. Don’t really have much to add, all 3 courses we got were amazing, tasteful and the steak was one of the best I ever had. Could not recommend enough. No wonder they are so busy all the time as the food is to die for.
Very nice restaurant with a cozy & relax ambience. The service was good and food was very satisfying. We loved the sea bass, mussels and rib eye steak while the venison was average. They have a wide selection of wines, beers & malts. Desserts were also phenomenal- we had the Babana sponge, caramel chocolate torte & cranachan. Worth coming back if we are in Fort Williams.
Great, great food with a lot of flavour to it. The very friendly staff is also a big advantage of this fine establishment together with their very own brewed beer which did hit the spot! Very fine place for a lunch or a dinner. Will certainly visit again if in the neighborhood special thanks to a very nice Polish server that was attending our table :D.
Exquisite food. I ordered the venison and black pudding stew and a wee haggis for starters. The service was rapid and on point. The staff were friendly. The atmosphere is cosy and warm. I would definitely recommend coming and would come again myself.
A small menu but I think something for everyone. I prefer a vegetarian meal and they had a few options, my husband prefers meat so finding somewhere that cater's for both can often be difficult. This place does it well. We loved our food and will definitely be back when we're next in the area. The restaurant is quite small but very quirky. The best I've been to the whole trip! Dietary restrictions: They even have a couple of gluten free options.
Probably one of the best restaurant in Fort William. The food is amazing and the staff as well. We couldn’t make any booking, hence be ready to queue but it goes pretty fast. We managed to get a table within 20 min. I highly recommend the geographer and we will come back
Food 8.4/10, service 8.7/10. Nice flavour and atmosphere of the Geographer theme restaurant. The dishes look pretty good, and it is a nicely chilled place you can find in the town. £18-30, 20-35mins.
This is an interesting place. The menu is short but nicely done. The haggis is one of its kind and you must try it. The main course servings are decent but if you are expecting heavy meals it might be worth ordering some cheesy dishes like Mac’n’cheese. The beer servings are awesome, try all the in-house ones.
