Story

Situated on our unique loch-side location, on the shores of Loch Linnhe, Crannog offers the best of the Highlands. Our restaurant has an unashamed seafood slant, offering the best and freshest fish and shellfish, as well as locally sourced meat and vegetarian dishes.

Our 90 minute cruises run daily from March to October, at 11am, 1pm and 3pm. Evening cruises run July and August on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 7.30pm A brilliant opportunity to spot local wildlife – the family of porpoises who live in the loch are regularly spotted, along with sunbathing seals – and enjoy the fabulous scenery of Lochaber. Our skipper’s informative and light-hearted commentary makes a cruise on Loch Linnhe great fun for all the family.

A fabulous fresh seafood meal, with delicious haggis starter. We enjoyed oysters, mussels and the half lobster, all of which were wonderfully fresh, perfectly cooked, well presented and truly sumptuous - a real treat after slogging it up Ben Nevis the day before!
This restaurant was in the heart of Fort Williams. We enjoyed our starters which included haggis. For mains we ate mussels. We also had the monk fish scampi and chips, which we enjoyed. The service was excellent. The food was good.
Seafood restaurant by the lake! Good food at a reasonable price. Mussels are quite popular. Baby friendly
fantastic restaurant & great setting looking out over the loch. highly recommend and really looking forward to our next visit when you open again.
Quaint little restaurant on a peer with a nice romantic atmosphere. Seafood speciality with a great selection of wine. Got a seat even without a reservation, had the lobster and I must say it was a magical night! Staff were super friendly and helpful. Definitely deserves 5 stars!
Just the best seafood restaurant we visited in Scotland. The staff are very happy and really try to make the occasion. The food is very good and the choice of wines are even better. It's very fairly priced and the quality is high. If you're there, don't miss it......
Very nice view over the bay, and overall the food was really nice, especially the scallops and the mussels. Only glimpse was too much seasoning/mustard on the gravlax salmon , so I could not really feel the subtle taste of the top quality salmon that had been used.
Food and view was very good. Our wine bottle was brought to the table OPEN. Not etiquette. Some restaurants in the world fill the bottles with cheaper wine. There was only red Tabasco for our oysters, not green. The sparkling water was overpriced.
Popular restaurant that makes fresh seafood taste wonderful! Well worth a visit. Be sure to book in advance. Wonderful seaview if you get a table by the windows.
