Absolutely superb deli. Very helpful staff, and delicious food. Couldn't ask for anything more
Best coffee ever and a beautiful deli selection. Sometimes you have to ask them for an extra shot if you like your coffee strong though. They do a wonderful toasted croissant with provolone cheese yumm, if you miss Italy this is the place you need to come to
since I was a small boy my family have used this shop, for all our Italian pasta and other foods,I am now over sixty and I my self have been buying for over forty years. I still travel from south west of England to buy my food, prices are good and quality is very good. carry on with the good work.
Update on 18/03/18: notice on the entrance door: shop has closed for good. Quite expensive overall. We tried fresh products - sausages pastas olives cheeses only to be disappointed everytime by the quality for the price we paid.
suddenly found so many italian deli shop around farringdon. this shop definetly gives you the best price for those italian biscuits and tinned simmenthal beef. Plus, people there was just so friendly!!!! and i quite like their decoration, and the arrangement of products, also their typing and writing on their black boards. Definitely it will become one of my favourite shop in this area!
My husband went into your deli yesterday Monday 11th Dec which his family do quite regular. He bought 250grams of Parma ham which was wrapped absolutely disgusting it was all one level laid on brown paper with a see through dirty bag laid on top Parma ham was bone dry because of this. He was served be a tall woman does she not know how Parma ham should be presented we understand it was busy but even so this was expensive and should have been wrapped correctly we are absolutely disgusted. This should have been layered with sheets of paper not a dirty see through bag it's disgusting. My husband travelled to Spain with it today so obviously didn't check why should he. FUMING regards Ann livornese
Located at the centre of Clerkenwell's Little Italy, Gazzano is the go to deli for home-sick Italians. I shop there for homemade ravioli, Italian breakfast biscuits Mulino Bianco, fresh cheese, cured meets and Christmas products, such as Panettone, Pandoro and Chocolate Torrone. The shop looks small, but they have a big selection of products. Prices are not too cheap, but fair considering these are mostly exported items. Service is good and you can pay by card. Closed on Mondays as Italian shops do!. In the summer, they serve homemade gelato!
Such a disappointment now. Since new owners have been in place the selection of cheese and salumi and all product is significantly smaller, and prices have significantly increased. As a lifelong customer it is disappointing to say that I will not be returning.
I used to go there at least once a week for my weekly shopping, until I once noticed that a pack of brioches I had previously bought had a sticker over the pack showing the expiry date 4 months ahead. Unfortunately I found the fraud only once I opened the pack and noticed the real expiry date on the single brioche. Eventually I asked for the refund! Needless to say they just lost a customer. If you really need to buy something from Gazzano's, just make sure that the product is not past its expiry date.
Just found this as a lunch alternative from Exmouth Market. It's cheaper, higher quality and far more friendly than anyone at the market. Great find and looking forward to many more lunch time visits!
