This Italian restaurant offers a charming and secluded ambiance, perfect for a cozy meal. We booked a reservation for a group of 10-15 people after work on a Monday, and they accommodated us well, even rearranging furniture to seat us all in one room. The service was attentive, and the cocktails were truly exceptional—some of the best I’ve had in a while. They were so smooth that you only realize how strong they are when you stand up! However, the food left something to be desired. Despite the pasta being homemade, it tasted quite plain and didn’t stand out. The one dish that did impress me was the truffle ricotta, which was a delicious appetizer worth trying. In terms of pricing, it’s in line with the area—cocktails around $20 and main dishes about $30. Overall, it’s a great spot for drinks and a cozy atmosphere, but the food may not leave a lasting impression. Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian options
My friends took me for a graduation dinner and it was one of the best restaurants I’ve been to in NYC. The highest quality food I’ve seen and tasted thus far. Beautiful drinks and the best truffle ricotta bread. Everything was blowing my mind with the flavor and freshness. And I’ve tasted a lot. I would only advise with going for a lot of food because it was all so rich.
I spent a lot of time researching a special spot for our first dinner in NYC. Osteria 57 did not disappoint. We had the coziest dinner here and enjoyed everything about it. Nice fall flavours.. from the cocktails to the savoury burrata, ravioli, and fish. The atmosphere was perfect. Service was also Food: 5/5
Ate here a few times a year ago and then went back recently. This cozy, intimate restaurant only serves vegetarian and fish dishes. The branzino and halibut special are outstanding. The fluke crudo and tiramisu dessert also. The menu is seasonal. The service and atmosphere are all excellent.Food: 5/5
Took my mom here in early November and had a great time. We had just come back from a Rome trip a month prior and were missing the food - this definitely hit that craving and was even better than some of the places we went to Italy lol the fusilli funghi with roasted local mushrooms was my favorite!Food: 5/5
Absolutely loved our date night at Osteria 57. This is a fish & vegetarian Italian restaurant just FYI me the atmosphere is coastal Mediterranean to the max. The staff is beyond pleasant, everyone will welcome you! The seating is ample, they do so much with such a narrow space. The food….GOODNESS! We started with their ricotta truffle crostinis, I would highly recommend. The ricotta is like a whipped cream and the truffles match the bread terrifically. For mains we each had past. Their take on a caico pepe is fantastic. Creamy, but not overly peppery and the noodle were beautifully Al dente. My other half had their ravioli which was a very fall ravioli with a pumpkin center, tasted like a Smokey campfire night in Italy if that is a thing. Would love to go back, add it to your Greenwich Village list!
One of my new fav restaurants in nyc! I’m very particular with where I choose to dine, and have a list of expectations/standards which Osteria 57 fulfilled perfectly. Dim lit, warm vibe, aesthetic bar. I enjoyed the appetizers more than my main, quantities are very small. Drinks and tiramisu were perfect. Service was fast and very welcoming.
had a great dinner night at osteria. our server was great and the overall atmosphere was cozy. fully recommend this place, ask for their specials!Food: 5/5
One word: Amazing. My significant other made a reservation for the two of us for a cute date night. We walk in, breathtaking. The atmosphere was so warm and comforting, candles lit at every table and lively people. We sat at the bar in the back. It took a while for someone to come and serve us, but it was quite a busy night. For drinks we ordered two glasses of Prosecco Rosé. A gorgeous drink for a gorgeous night. Someone delivered us a basket of bread and olive oil. Perfect. Our server came back to us after we had a few minutes to enjoy our drinks. They told us the specials, we ordered the truffle ricotta toast. Personally, I have never had truffles before— amazing. Every bite was perfect. For our main dishes Iordered the Fusilli Al Ragu Di Funghi, and my partner got the Paccheri Pomodoro Burrata. Heaven. On. Earth. Every forkful was flavorful. The mushrooms were cooked to perfection and full of flavor, melting in your mouth. The pasta was the most perfect texture and so light. 1000000/5 stars.
Absolutely wonderful place! The staff were very friendly, the food was incredible. Specifically the pasta was one of the best I’ve had in nyc! Never had crab meat pasta before and it was Food: 5/5
