Popped in to Gary Coopers with family yesterday… what a disaster!! We havent been here in ages very disappointed to see how bad its got! Shortage of staff. One female worker was so rude and misterable had face like thunder and bad attitude! food was awful, one of us ordered the hunter’s chicken bbq chicken melt the peas were so hard, chips were ok , chicken was awful very tough and rubbery, we also ordered £2.99 deal of the day fish an chips but half way through eating it, the batter on the fish was uncooked an raw! the ques at the bar was very long , they even told the customers they arnt serving till half a hour there closed??!! Nearly all the tables inside and outside were all left dirty, the floors were dirty! We didnt dare go to the toilets so we left and went to asda. This place has definitely gone down hill. The staff looks depressed and fed up. Its put us all of in returning . Wont be surprised if this carries on the place will be shut down. During the bad reviews lately this place definitely Needs to be investigated!!
Me and my wife went to have dinner at Gary cooper in Dunstable. Ordered food and drinks through the app while in the restaurant at on 26/02/2023 in the evening at 19.50pm on table 14. Waiter came and said they have run out of the larger I ordered and gave me three cheaper beer options and said there the ones available. I said ok to one of them. Then the food came. I had a katsu chicken curry with rice and it was a very small portion of rice which I couldn’t believe. My wife had burger and chips and there was hardly any chips served. We were still hungry and ordered 10 chicken wings and the plate came with very small 9 wings which had 6 flat wings. When I mentioned to one of the waiters a manager came and started to have a go at me like I’ve done something criminal. She started to tell me in very loud voice that she can’t control what head office send and if I want the missing wing she will give the missing wing. I was so embarrassed and kept quiet as every one started to look at us. I was so upset with her attitude and rudeness and decided to leave. I wondered why I was treated this way by this manageress. She shouldn’t be working there. Ended as a very unpleasant experience.
Came here for breakfast on a Saturday morning, not too busy surprisingly. Food was really good value for money and eggs were cooked well! Lots of new veggie options to choose from. Quick service.
Good locations nexr to park and Asda... staff is friendly and welcoming we had their breakfast which Iis good value and freshly cooked keep up the good work
Variety of good food served quickly & reasonably price. A must, especially if your going to the next door theatre. Always packed & so not easy to get a table. Good friendly staff
Driven past for years, but had some time so thought I'd give it a try. Very close to shops. Pleasantly impressed with the size. Was peacefully quiet to have breakfast. Easy to get comfortable here for a few hours. Loved the breakfast
Its a spoons it's what you would expect the lass that served us behind the bar was great though. Food was good except the burger patties were gross they tasted like a burnt cheap frozen burger yet my daughters burger looked great but I had two disgusting ones. The three stars is because everything else was good.
Fabulous vegan burger with a few chips...but in all honesty, it might as well been a child's portion. Very small as opposed to a couple of years ago where bun was twice the size with side salad and more chips. This was around £5 with soft drink Definitely they've cut back and price around £7 now. Not worth it for a budget lunch anymore. Also had to ask someone to clear table...but they didn't wipe it....I used a babywipe. Staff were OK but alot of men standing around end bar for the beer just like a normal pub rather than a restaurant feel...not overly happy to be around this feel
I was in there on Saturday 11th March before going to the Grove and I will never bother going in there again before a show. We ordered our food and drink on the App because the queue was so long but it still took 50 mins for our drinks to be served and 1hour and 10 mins for our food. When I asked if we could have a refund if the food didn't arrive in time I was told we could but to ask 10 mins before we had to leave as there was also a queue for refunds !!! Absolute shambles and the food was luke warm when it arrived I didn't complain at the time as we just had to eat and run or we would have missed the show
Ordered a gourmet steak meal, it was a little bit of a fatty cut of steak and the steak itself had a weird almost curried flavour to it. It was fine but didn't taste like it usually does.
