The first thing to say is the food is fantastic! The staff are really friendly and looked after us really well. It was my sons 15th birthday and they made it really special. It was all decorated for Christmas too and made it feel really festive. Highly recommended.
Traditional Indian Restaurant. Food is good and service excellent
Absolutely magnificent restaurant and staff. Food is authentic and incredible. Being South Africans we rate this 100/100.
Inedible swill is the best word to describe this place! Went to this place after seeing such good reviews, but im sorry if you've ever had a half decent curry you'd know this doesn't even deserve the one star! Curry has been heated up repeatedly and what you are served is the thick burnt bits that are left at the end. Chicken was STALE, tandoori is not supposed to have a hard coat outside it similar to stale baguette that go on sale for 12p on the day they are to go off. They charged £3.30 for a saucer sized plate of rice, there's no point. Please just stay home and have a plate of £1.50 uncle Ben's rice, it will taste better and be of better quality. Please avoid and go to a REAL curry place.
My boyfriend and I have just driven down to Devon and have never been in this area. Usually I’m not a huge fan of Indian, but it was 10:30pm and options were slimming. We walked in here and were welcomed by smiles, the place was empty so we chose our seats and experienced a very good service and some of the best Indian food we have eaten. We had the butter chicken and prawn masala. Just fantastic. Seriously though, the waiter couldn’t have been more perfect with his service. I travel all over the world and go to such a variety of restaurants and experience so much, I was a chef in the past and a food taster for a huge concierge company. I am fussy, it takes a lot to impress me, so very well done guys. We will be back!!! Thank you.
Simply a great local eatery where the food is fabulous. Really friendly people who look after you fantastically well. Parking: All car parks and on road parking vv close.
Ordered a Madras and it was swimming in oil. Inedible. The coconut rice was good as was the chapati hence the 2 stars.
There are 2 main reasons for the 1 star 1. The prices in the window are takeaway prices the prices for dine-in are way more. E.g. chicken biryani is £10 the eatin price is £17 2 Popadoms and chutneys £6.60 2. The chicken rezella ttasted like a sickly sweet chicken tikka masala with 1 chilli thrown in. The chichen was also like rubber If the resturant wants to ctarge these prices they need to seriously up there game . Improve the food and a big refurb and the manager needs to get some front if house skills This resturant is in the 1980 On the plus side the bombay aloo was very good
Catered for a large party of 21. Staff worked so hard to get the food out to us so nobody waited too long..not an easy thing to do. Food was lovely, as were the staff. Would definitely go back.
Food was okay, quite enjoyable really. Came to the Bill was expecting it to be around the £60 mark for three of us according to their menu but got charged £100. Questioned it they said old price on menu and tax & service. But surely this shouldn't almost double the Bill. Paid it anyway wouldn't be going back.
