Built in 1912 as the Grotto Country Club, The Freshwater Inn is set in lovely gardens and enjoys spectacular views along the South Pembrokeshire Heritage Coast.

Story

Since 2003, the inn has been owned and run by Richard and Carol Ashley, a really friendly and welcoming couple. Devotees of real ales will be happy here - at any one time there are 4 of them on tap with Double Dragon and Cambrian as the regulars, plus two rotating guest ales. Over the course of one year, Richard hopes to have offered his customers some 30 different real ales.

Friendly staff and nice that dogs are welcomed. My husband had fish and chips and a friend the cod and both enjoyed. Don't order the burgers all you get is a thin dried up burger patty or in my case a chicken breast with no relishes and a not so fresh bun. Chips thankfully were good
Found this place while out driving. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Even found vegan options on the menu. Food is delicious. Nice to be able to see the ocean as well.
Had a lovely belated birthday with my husband. Great food. Spotlessly clean social distancing maintained. Tables all 2 metres apart.
Great staff- I mean the actual X factor here. Good food choice 4 menus!!!?!! and loved the end product! Views of the sea was icing on the cake.
Lovely food at reasonable prices. Good covid process in place with all staff wearing masks. We'll certainly eat here again.
On a typically British wet and windy day this was a great place to warm up and eat lunch. Staff were great and despite COVID managed to create great atmosphere whilst observing rules. Food was great. Curry was exceptional and the kids cleaned their plates.
Food was absolutely delicious. Great vegetarian and vegan dishes.Got a couple tables by the big windows from where you'll get to see the view of the sea too.
