Didn't stay here but stopped for a drink after a walk. Its perfect location if you're visiting the lily ponds or if you just fancy exploring a new area. They allow dogs which is fab. The staff were polite and every time i saw them talk to a customer, they gave a brill service. Food looked Yummy and I'd say its normal pub price. Cute pub and we will definitely be making it our usual for our pond walks.
Absolutely beautiful country pub, with a deceivingly large, open, and modern interior. From the outside, I expected a small bar area with a typically tricky network of rooms and corridors inside. Instead, it has a large open plan restaurant area with an 18ft long bar at one end with a great selection of drinks to cater for all tastes, and a menu to satisfy the hungriest of visitors, with a selection of "smaller dishes" as well as main meals. Highly recommend visiting after a walk around Bosherston and the Lily Ponds, as it's a stone's throw from the National Trust Car Park 2minute walk, but be sure to book ahead for food to save disappointment.
We would’ve stayed here had the coin landed differently but nevertheless we decided to try the restaurant. The portions are filling and the food was good. The draught ale selection could’ve been wider than the one, and perhaps even more local than Kent but it was a nice ale. It was a quiet evening but very pleasant. I’m pretty sure the vibe’s way different in high season.
Popped in for a drink and some chips after a dog walk. Friendly staff, but slow service even when it wasn't too busy. Generous portions of chips. Dog friendly, big TV showing sports. Cosy and comfy insideService: 4/5
St Govan's Inn is first class in every respect. I had dined here many times with family while holidaying and always liked the food, service, and pub,. So I thought to give the rooms a go with my teenage son for a 4 day stay. The room we were given was wonderful, and far above the standard we were expecting for the price. Modern, super clean, warm, comfortable. Great beds. Really great contemporary bathroom with bath bombs and luxurious towels changed daily Tea, coffee, delicious biscuits. And a fantastic view. We both loved it. The breakfast was superb: local produce prepared and presented beautifully the bacon is especially exquisite. And in quantity as well as quality! Endless tea, toast and coffee. The dinners were great too, but I must also mention the knockout packed lunches. Order them the night before and collect at breakfast before a day of walking. They are great and a bargain. All in all this was a higher than five star experience. And astonishing VFM. But I want to mention how great the manager and team were also. Friendly, thoroughly decent, and good company. A super team at the top of their game. Update your website to show off your brilliance! And thank you. Walkability: Broadhaven beach. Barrafundle. The Pembrokeshire coastal path. Skomer. Manorbier. Bosherton. And far more!
This is a much nicer place now it’s under new management. Gone are the days of warmed up ready meals. This is now a high-quality restaurant.
Friendly staff, pretty standard food but perfect mid -hike fuel. Good two ales on too
We spent 2 nights amidst hiking. The staff is friendly and the pub can be very busy, so definitely make reservations. The breakfasts were fantastic. The room was newly renovated and very nice, but the bed was quite hard. Really the bed was my only negative and that is because I have a bad back. Both the Lily Ponds and St. Govan's Chapel are great to visit. I recommend walking to both and getting to see the coast, but the chapel is a longer walk.
Never leave reviews but thought I should start sharing my experiences. Quietly complained that I had a hair in my food and was asked if I'd like it replaced. A few minutes later had the same plate of food returned telling me lucky the chef had another already cooking for another customer, obviously not!! No integrity from either staff and when leaving avoided any recognition we were there, no thanks for coming or even a sorry.
Really friendly staff, dog friendly pub. We sat outside in the evening as our dog is a bit old and grump now. Staff were really accomodating. We both enjoyed a lovely meal. Delicious and flavorful macaroni and cheese! They even had some treats for the dog. Perfect stop after a walk around the ponds and the beach.Service: 5/5
