Lovely place to have lunch or dinner, food is well prepared and always tasty. Very friendly staff who can't do enough for you. Nice shabby chic decor with comfortable seating at tables or sofas by the fire. Good selection of wines. Often see dogs in the pub and we have taken ours there plenty of times in the summer. Cute outdoor garden. No space for children to run around inside doing you're bringing them with you then they'll need to be able to sit at tables quietly, in the summer there is the village green around the back they could play on if supervised.

Used to be much nicer. Needs a good hoover & dust. I love dogs but 1 pooped & peed where we were eating. Not nice. Furniture very tired ( not shabby chic ). Food & service were good. People drinking at the bar so you couldn’t get to it. Take away the stools? Won’t hurry back.

If you're looking for a harvester type pub, this is not it. If you want great food and good service and don't mind paying a little extra, then you won't be disappointed. We will definitely revisit The French Horn.

Car park all muddy, cram packed and disorganised on a Wed night. Only 5 things on the menu - burger night. Waiter mixed up the order slightly, which when it arrived was very greasy and room temperature. The onion rings were over battered and running with oil. Ketchup arrived half way through the meal, and the waiter didn't return to ask for more drinks even though mine had run out before the meal came. The meal came with jugs of water. Not very appetising and the 100% lamb burger didn't really taste of much to be honest. Low ceiling with lovely oak beams reminded me of a hobbit hole.
